I was in a trainer truck at USA truck, and several times, I was in fear for my life. He had impossible demands and expectations and he became enraged when I couldn't live up to them. He was psychotic, schizophrenia with delusional features and out of touch with reality. I was tops in my class at CDL school and I had a background in trucking. That's how I got on at USA because they only took advanced students. Again and again, he put me in dangerous high pressure situations to try and overwhelm me and make me quit, but just to spite him, I stuck it out to the end. But I never drove a truck again
I feel like they should have to work out a different system. I don't think that's right to keep you out for 5 weeks and then let you get one day at your house.
I feel like this sort of a scam if you are out for 5 weeks and only at your house for one day. Even if you arent driving you are still in the truck on their time not living your life

Before i watch this video,, ill say this. Companies hate home time. Regardless of the company, location, freight availability, your family, your money, your quality of life. If/when your dispatcher begins to talk to you about rates, then you should remind them that while you're sleeping on an on-ramp, they get to go home. Be stern but not aggressive. Better to use questions than statements with dispatchers but start them as statements. "Im getting home july14th right?
