good video, im glad that you decided to be as unbiased as possible the issue with shift is not just his mentally insane rage stuff, is the fact that he is a narcissistic master manipulator that has been harassing people that has different perspectives on the game or him for years. he will never change, he is a living deluion, he is destroying himself for a game because his life has no balance, having body issues that severe before his 30s, he is genuinely insane. I dont think this man will ever be happy until something really bad happens to him to the point that he has to be forced to go to a psych ward, cause the way things are going its rough
20:48 This clip and the yell that wasn't shown after gave SHiFT laryngitis, as it was very evident the subsequent streams. It was sad and genuinely concerning seeing the game cause real physical harm, and it was relieving when he wrote the apology video due to him reflecting on him not having a voice and how he treated viewers. It's unfortunate that he changed the title of that video and went back on his apology due to him feeling like trolls were using it against him as he promised to never yell at the game again due to losing his voice because of the game. A promise like that wasn't expected to hold, but the thought and effort behind it made it nice for the moment.
The thing is you can find bad in every youtuber. They're still humans and we all make mistakes and do things we know we shouldn't. That's not to say there are things that can't be fully forgiven, but to hold a grudge on someone over something that has been settled is just as foolish as the action you're holding against them.
This is a good overview of events, but it would help to list your sources in the description. Especially interested in that "stream" that thon person did, or at least an archive/link to the tweet thread because thon deleted their account (which is very sus.) youtubedrama on reddit stirs up shit about Nick Robinson every month, and some documentation of these refutals would be valuable.
Is this really a "failure" though? What the hell is with all these third-rate RU-vidrs calling everything a failure? "Hey guys, this thing got millions of viewers, launched the careers of very successful people, and left a lasting impression on millions of people! What a failure!"
A toilet gets over a million uses too, but we don't celebrate them or lament their loss; we just find a new toilet to find relief. That's the same thing as a youtuber; you might think you're the hottest item on the market but you're just a new kind of toilet that one day will find replacement with another new toilet. The thing is, you're still *a toilet* and nothing more. Aspire to be more then a toilet.
@@EddieSpaghetti69 ya know what? That’s the most wild, yet lowkey best analogy I think I’ve ever read. That’s actually very insightful and I’m glad I read it.
"His channel's a shelf of his former shelf" lmao not waisting my time His content is miles above what was before. It feels more genuinene, the content from early days of YT were it's just idiots doing silly things for fun instead of chasing the next big goal. I remember when Carson started collabing it really felt off, I could lay my finger on it but it really just felt like people using him to get bigger, not to actually just have fun Here's an example of how his content is better than other members Take Schat. Prime example of someone who fell off (if he even rose to begin with) He now just has other people do videos for him, be it showing up in collabs and not showing his side or full on telling his audience to make stuff for him. He only reacts and clearly doesn't care anymore. Were as Carson is still being himself, playing games for fun with his audience, be it the Minecraft sub servers or the anomaly spawns that his chat creates for donations. You can tell one actually likes what he's doing now more than ever while the other one is too scared and secluded himself. It sucks that people treated him like they did, but In a way I'm glad because he got rid of all that toxicity that comes from working with creators who see you as just more content
I was so worried that there was dirt on PBG. I've been a long time subcriber since around the first round of Normal Boots. Still watch and enjoy his content. I would have been devastated if something was wrong with him.
The first time I ever heard about him was on his first video on McDonald's DS game, so I guess I only got to know his work after all this drama? Nice character devolpment 😄
i’ve always thought she’s such a huge hypocrite and throws women under the bus a lot just to get attention from men. but UNRELATED: I was wondering tho, how did you put your guidelines on your channel for people to agree to before commenting? would love to do that on my channel cus i get so many weird comments 😭
I will never forgive him for breaking a 3ds with a sledgehammer, throwing a 2ds in the garbage and making that god awful bland era of mario video that featured the 3ds games and called 3D land, Mario Kart 7, and Luigi mansion 2 bland and udder messes, I’m against him. But the sexual harassment is way worse and makes me dislike him more and was very stupid of him to do.
There truly is a thin line between homage and ripping off. Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw of Zero Punctuation/Fully Ramblomatic admits he was partially influenced from the mad reviewer of the 2000s. In reality, he has much in common with the Angry Video Game Nerd. Both of them curse abundantly in their videos. Both reviewers are more negative than positive. It's just that the Angry Video Game Nerd does retro/vintage games, but Yahtzee does modern games, and the Angry Video Game Nerd does live action, but Yahtzee does animation. Is that an homage or a rip-off?
I love how he swears up and down that he didn't consent, but he still somehow one way or another, for whatever reason stuck his pp in her. Like you say you were drunk and she was too, but then you try and play the victim like it wasn't your fault, when you literally did things to her. Even if you were drunk, that still doesn't excuse your actions. And you can't say you didn't give consent as a way yo get out of being blamed for what you do.
a year later i watch this at 6am and get blindsided by castle crashers music thanks for making me feel the past 10 years in 10 seconds (thats sarcastic it hurts so bad)
Zaptie's biggest sin was doing cringe flirting on the internet and from this he cannot be redeemed. The age doesn't matter because 0/100 isn't less than 0/10.
At the end of the day I think ALL of this could’ve been dealt with offline away from the cameras. The fact that fans were even involved in the first place was weird as hell. I’d hate being a content creator if my relationships constantly on blast
Liam robertson is such a mutant, he litterally calls anyone that defends nick or asks for evidence a sock puppet account ran by nick. I Seriously dont get what his problem is.
It’s genuinely crazy how this video solidified my disgust for Carson and everyone in the comments is either talking about your dog shit opinion on pyrocinical or how Carson manipulating his friends was actually fine.
I still really enjoy Jared's stuff. Yeah, he hasn't been posting much on his main channel lately (I think a lot of that has to do with what happened) but he posts daily on his gaming channel, has a stream VOD channel and even had "Now in the 90s" though that last one has recently come to an end because he wasn't sure how to keep it going. Dude had a rough time but he handled himself pretty well and he's admitted that he and PBG are still on friendly terms. He really bounced back.
I mean, not sexting with minors isn't a very high bar; I'd equate it to walking around naked by windows in your home while children are going to school. He *knew* better. You can like the music of Diddy and Jackson, but the actual person is usually scummy or so damaged they're hollow and without substance. I suspect that digging with more then spoons will elicit some good data, Celebs get what they deserve when they decide to weigh their star-power against someone else. If I was famous the *last* thing I would *ever* mention to a rando online is that I'm famous; and Jared had to ultimately learn a hard lesson. I ain't mad, I'm just surprised that not knowing how to manage a brand got him this far. Might as well hire *Jared Fogel from Subway* and try with that while you're at it.
