I lived in SF back in the 90's and always took my dogs to Alta Plaza Park on Steiner. Then one day there were these big filming trailers on the streets. Didn't know what was being filmed but a week later I saw Mrs. Doubtfire on the street. Someone said that is Robin Williams filming a movie. You forgot the swimming pool location. It's the Claremont Hotel and Spa in Berkeley Hills. For the longest time I thought the pool was at some posh location in the LA area.
Nope. Sally Fields office is at the top of the 1870s Victorian Audiffred bldg, at 1 Mission (at the Embarcadero). The glassed in office was then new. The hotel across the street was built later. Boulevard was probably at the street level then too but the building itself has a fantastic history.
trick or treat made a great line in these but this apron is the worst ,just unexplainable in my opinion the bill johnson leatherface from part 2 nails it figure wise excellent dont think ill be going for this one just to fake and cartoonish
One cool thing that I noticed at Michaels this year is that they are selling purple, green and white moon lander bulbs this year. So that will be cool to light the villages up differently
Thanks for the Doubtfire tour and your great detective work. I have a heart felt liking for San Francisco. I was born there in 1954 and lived in town from 1977-1991. Cheers
I hate leather face from TCM number three. Just doesn't look like him maybe I'm just old school. The best Leather Face is from the first movie hands down. Nothing beats the killing mask and pretty woman mask.
Im a nurse now and just graduated at the age of 31. I grew up somewhat poor as a teenager and got out of the military a few years ago. I've always said I don't wanna be rich, but rich enough that I can have a house and decorate my home for Halloween and Christmas and go all out! Also, to hand out the king-sized candy bars, too. I was talking to my friends about going out and shopping together just this morning. This video popped up, and it's been an absolute excitement for me to see what Spirit has for this year. Long story short, I am glad I found your video LMAO
Yes, same. 👊🏻 enough money in the bank for Halloween and Christmas is bliss, just stay away from the At Home store. That place is a hazard to the checkbook 😁.
Great review, but like a-lot of Lemax items, their soundtracks need better voice talent. Music is always great but the voice work is annoying, imo. Can the music be separated from the voice soundtrack or no? Thanks.
Amazing work. Thank you for showing the filming locations of one of my favorite movies. The video brought my childhood memories of the film back when I first saw it.
That's Awesome to bad THESE COMPANYS REFUSE -- outside of Mattel's _Barbie_ anyway -- to make fun sets like that in legit 1/10th scale. So it would look proper w/ 1/12 scaled; 6" inch figures. We can't even get Hasbro _Black series_ to make A simple Wars _RotJ_ Skiff. A simple singular molded plastic platform essentialy.
That's awesome. Definitely seems like a rare piece with no images on google or any ebay listings. I love old vhs displays like that, though. I myself have a couple different ones from other films. One from Batman 89, and another from Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade. Did you have the rest of the display at one point, or was it always just the Michael standee? Would be cool if you could have the rest of the display remade to really complete it, but even as is, it's a great piece.
Omg I watched the whole video you took! I laughed at the end with the guy lol 😆 thank you so much for visiting the factory so all the major fans of the movie can see updates! Im so relieved the owners are keeping part of the building! ❤❤❤❤❤ But I still wanna piece of it! That would make my whole life complete. 🥰 please keep the updates coming! ❤❤❤❤
Glad you enjoyed! I plan on going back around October to see what has changed. It’s only a little over 4 hours from here. (Unless I hear from the owners sooner to do a video interview)
@@mikescollectiblechannel Yay! That's awesome my birthday is October 11th! 😃 I can't wait for more videos you upload of it. I Wish you could go into the Rose of Shannon Motel! That Would Be so Kool! Your lucky you live close by! I wish I could live in the Shannon motel lol I totally would! 😆🥰
Please Mike can you please please go back and get me a brick or piece of the factory???? I will pay 100$ to have it shipped to me please! Im so fucking upset this is happening! I wish i had the money to fly there but tickets are waay to much and im in WI it was my dream to go there before i die 😫 thats how important and obsessed i am with Halloween 3
Can you please anyone that goes there can someone please please get a piece of brick or piece of the shamrock building?! I will pay for it please! I'm so upset I'm missing it! This is my favorite movie!
Rachel - I'm buying a brick for myself and two friends in the U.S. by the end of the week. If there's enough money left, I'll buy you one. Drop ya e-mail somehow and get in contact with me. I'm currently talking to Nadia and I mentioned you to her.
Would be great to visit but live in UK so not much chance. Such an awesome building with great character and history. A Brick would be a great Silver Shamrock Novelty🎃
Thank you for sharing this. Was last at the site in June of 2023. I had been to the location 3 times. I covered the news of the demolition on my channel too. So glad the owners are trying to preserve what they can. The film is very important to me too. Sad the factory was so damaged in those earthquakes.
If you don't mind me asking, how much was it? I've looked online for a long time and was wondering what is a fair price for one in the condition like yours ?
This one was just north of $300. I consider that a steal for this condition today. I would expect these to go for well over $500 near mint. I just got lucky on eBay.
Thanks for showing us how they differ. I have a bunch of knockoffs I got from eBay. I don't care if they're actual replicas or not. Personally, I just can't see spending a ton on title belts. I bring them to shows and get a lot of comments from other fans.
@autumnanddadscollectibles I got the WWE championship, the ROH world title from 2016, the 6 TNA titles from before they changed them this year, and a few NWA belts (worlds, tag, and tv)
They are trying to save what they can and take down what they can't save. From what i heard, it's more expensive to take it down than to fix it. Thats better news than it being completely down
Really gonna be different without all the factory there. Sure hope they never do away with the apartments that was used in the movie, cause this factory building and apartments are what really stands out in the movie. Thanks for sharing a look before its all rubble!!!
My brother-in-law would die if he got a brick from that he has several of the actors autographed all of the Halloween masks autograph that brick would just be the icing on the cake for him
Considering how many times I was nearby the factory, I’m bummed I never actually paid a visit while living in CA. to snag a pic and momento. Happy you documented this!
