Nice video and some great drone shots, Dave. 🤘👍 I also bought the Mini 2 a couple of months ago and I love this little beast. I still love my Black Fimi, but compared to the X8 the Mini 2 is so stable in near ground flights or in very tight spaces. Hi my friend. I also wanted a Mini to fly in tight spaces and in the end decided for the DJI Mini 2, although I still love my Black Fimi X8. The Fimi Mini just cannot keep up with the picture quality and stability in flight. In my latest video you can see what can be done with the Mini 2, which would be a hassle to do with the Fimi. I bought a Fimi A3 for of the outstanding follow-me feature. And that's because of the controller with built-in GPS. I had hoped a mini Fimi would have that too. But it doesn't look like it.
Hello everyone, is it worth starting the adventure with this drone, I am thinking about the mavic mini or fimi x8 se 2020, both drones are at a similar price fimi in Poland, even a little cheaper.
FIMI's advantage: Range, flight time, 4k resolution and power. Dji's: great customer support, many accessories, constant updates to firmware and software, hardware and tech support & recognised brand everywhere.
DON'T make the same mistake as I did, DO NOT BUY FIMI DRONES - I have Xiaomi Mi Drone 4k and now they are no longer supporting the mobile application - it's even not on Google Play Store anymore. On top of that it is rebranded and now sold by FIMI. I bought the drone two years ago and just now I found the time to use it, only to find out they dropped support! It is an expensive device and they let their customers in the water. There is no software support from FIMI either - even the "Download" button on their crappy site is not working - THINK before you buy.
Cool, it's 2021, I took my Mi Drone out the box after a long time of not using it..want to update the app on my phone but it is not possible - I can't find it in the Google Store.. the one on the Apple Store is outdated and Xiaomi no longer sells Mi Drone 4k. It turns out it is now sold by Fimi, but still there is no software to be found not even on their (barely working) website. On top of that there is not a single article or video mentioning that drone that is newer than 2018... what a bummer. I guess I will now pay for the lower (but still noт LOW) price with owning a deprecated device!
Hey, try this link to download the app for Android. I have the Mi 4K which is a great drone. I just dread the day the app won't work with my phone. It's kinda harsh how these drones become useless without the app, especially when the app stops working after IOS and Android updates
I own the X8SE 2020 and love the drone, but unfortunately Fimi dropped the ball as being about to attach filters to the camera. I bought 1 UV JSR filter from Bangood and when i attempt to attach it to the camera it just falls off. If these filters work the same way I would not trust them to stay attached during flight. I am hoping to find a filter that I would trust to attach securely to the camera. Pushon filters will probably fall off during flight ... or sooner. IF i missed something please comment. Really a great drone other than that flaw.
Ray... I have to agree with you. I have had my Fimi X8 SE 2020 since last year and decided on a set of filters recently. They came in and as I was experimenting with seeing how they attached to my cam.. they just fall off. I can't even get them to stay on during a gimbal calibration test on the ground... so I'm not crazy about sending it up to be lost in flight..!!
I usually use an ND. A 16 or 32 in sun, or an 8 or 4 in lower light. You can slow the shutter speed without overexposing, which makes motion more cinematic. It can greatly reduce the tearing effect when panning and eliminates the prop shadows that often appear otherwise.
Hi, the 'trim' is for small adjustments either left or right for non gps drones. So when it's flying it can drift in either way unless is adjusted accordingly with the trim buttons. Hope this helps!

Hey, I loved the smoothness of the Mi 4k when planning up and down the camera, but video quality wise is the FIMI. More dynamic range and higher bitrate
Hi. Thanks for the great video (music problem apart :) ). I have a question. I go to settings, manual, iso 100. Get out the menu, go there again and it´s in AUTO. I go to M and the iso is back to AUTO again. What is happening? Any ideias on how to "memorize" the settings? Thanks in adavnce
