The ruling party in Taiwan used state power to search and arrest the opposition leader, Ko Wen-je, illegally detaining him for three days of interrogation. Even after the initial court ruling by a judge stating that Ko Wen-je did not need to be detained, a prosecutor with an obvious political stance appealed. The case was then assigned to another judge with the same clear bias, and in a second trial with no new evidence presented, the judge ruled to detain Ko based on their own subjective judgment. During this time, media outlets aligned with the ruling party continuously fabricated false public opinion in an attempt to suppress the opposition. This is a breakdown of the nation's democratic system. We urge the international community to pay attention to the severe democratic crisis occurring on this small democratic island of Taiwan. The ruling party in Taiwan has now become no different from the authoritarian rule of the Chinese Communist Party. This is a painful confession from a Taiwanese citizen witnessing the regression of democracy. We hope the international community can see that Taiwan's democratic system is falling apart.
#standwithKP #KP_is_INNOCENT The ruling party attempted to use the judiciary to politically persecute the opposition leader upon insufficient evidence, even all evidence proved that Ko is innocent. Moreover specific medias keep on misleading. Even the information has been clarified. However these media continues to report wrong information. 《1984》 is happening in Taiwan.
Taiwan is proud to be a democratic and free country, but in order to eliminate political opponents, the ruling party openly used judicial means to persecute the opposition party chairman, former mayor Ko Wenzhe, who could find no evidence of corruption. This is Taiwan's shame. We urge citizens around the world who support democracy and freedom to support us and oppose any dictatorship and persecution.
this year's Taiwan presidential election, Mr. Lai only got 40.05% votes, and many people, including me, believed he had cheated! Dr. Ko's Taiwan People's Party is a new political party that has just been established for five years. This was his first election for president and he received 26.46% of the votes. The people who give him the most votes are young people and people with high knowledge and high incomes! This is why the DPP is now launching a judicial persecution for Ko! I don’t reconize Mr. Lai is my presdent!
Has Taiwan entered an era of complete green governance and the restoration of a total party-political-military dictatorship? Chairman Ko Wen-je of the Taiwan People's Party was detained today under the direction of a judge who had previously been impeached, despite the lack of any evidence. Such an outrageous decision based on the judge's discretion has actually happened in Taiwan. The media is engaging in unrestrained personal attacks without any oversight, and the people are becoming deeply divided. We need international attention to this matter!
REPUBLIC OF SOMALILAND LAND OF DEMOCRACY AND STABILITY IN THE HORN OF AFRICA. MOU MEANS TO US THE FIRST AFRICAN COUNTRY THAT CONNECTS WORLD TO AFRICA AND THE RECOGNITION MEANS BEYOND ETHIOPIAN BORDER AND IT'S WIN WIN SITUATION.
To update everyone, Ko Wen-je was released without bail by the Taipei District Court at around 3:30 AM on September 2, 2024, Taipei time, indicating no criminal suspicion. In Taiwan, a release without bail, house arrest, or detention indicates that there is no criminal suspicion. During the investigation, Taiwanese prosecutors detained him for 69 hours, which deviates from the standard procedure. They also conducted an illegal search of the Taiwan People’s Party(TPP)office, showing that Taiwan’s judicial environment is deteriorating. Additionally, the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) issued statements on Facebook on behalf of the Taipei District Prosecutors Office, highlighting an increasingly inseparable relationship between the political party and judicial authorities.
The ruling party attempted to use the judiciary to politically persecute the opposition leader, but in the end, the prosecutor spent 70 hours proving just how clean Ko Wen-je is.
Taiwan government has begun to retaliate against citizens who hold different opinions, particularly those aligned with other political parties. They are using their influence over the justice system to unjustly target individuals, turning what should be a fair and impartial system into a tool for political suppression.
- **Ko Wen-je, former Mayor of Taipei and current Chairman of the Taiwan People's Party,** was subjected to an unauthorized search by Taiwan's Agency Against Corruption (AAC) on August 29th. The search included his residence, office, and party headquarters, without clear justification. - **Mr. Ko fully cooperated** but was subjected to a 19-hour interrogation and has been detained for over 58 hours without formal charges. - **Initial allegations of corruption were unsupported by evidence.** Authorities later shifted to claims of favoritism in contracts, despite all relevant meeting records being publicly accessible. - **As Mayor, Mr. Ko significantly contributed to Taipei,** reducing the city's debt by NT$57 billion, constructing over 20,000 social housing units, and ensuring all middle and elementary school students had access to tablets, aiding low-income families. - **The accusations against Mr. Ko appear politically motivated,** aiming to discredit him and undermine the Taiwan People's Party, a crucial force for reform in Taiwan's legislature. - **Global media attention is needed** to ensure that democratic values, transparency, and justice are upheld in Taiwan. International scrutiny is essential in safeguarding the rights of individuals like Mr. Ko and preventing the erosion of democratic principles in Taiwan.
Browning MG for anti-air is a flex? It's actually a small caliber with low fire rate and range compared to actual AA guns. If the Mainland was doing the same it would be pointed out as dumb and outdated.
