When doing these kinds of tricks, it is never necessary to let people handle the cards. Of course they are gimmick cards, as all blank cards are. The spectator already knows this, so you don't need to feel pressured to show them *how* they are gimmicked. That's your secret - your magic sauce.
I don't like the discrapency that the choosen card was put on TOP...then a couple of seconds later, you have to take the "bottom" card as the selected one! NOT good for me!
It's like a cross cut force. There's a bit of a time lapse. You deal through more cards to show they could have stopped anywhere. I think this is a case of thinking like a magician.
It's a really fun effect! Great for walkaround. I'll be reviewing Penguin's Print on Demand in a few days as well! Keep an eye out for that one. Another great mental photography deck.
Hello Blake, You always give very detailed and interesting reviews that are not too long. I don't know how old you are but I'm very impressed with how articulate you are and able to give a good presentation. A long time ago I suggested you slow down when giving your presentations and I'm glad you did. Thanks you, ED 🙂
I didn't purchase this because I felt the risk was too great that too much of the material would be (perhaps minor) variations of material I've seen before. After all, It makes sense to wonder if a gimmicked deck which has been around for as long as the Svengali Deck has had it's creative well run dry. I appreciated the trick you presented, along with your mentions that some of the effects require additional components. It may take these additions to bring new ideas to the Svengali Deck, but if that's what it takes, that's what it takes - and if they work, they work! Thanks for the review.
