Shot Who shot the bullet That killed the air tonight? Without a thought, without a reason Take a gun called hate Up against your heart And pull the trigger Take a gun called hate Up against your heart And pull the trigger It's over, it's only over It's only over when we say The smoke and mirrors The lies that wind your tongue Is this oppression what we wanted or what we needed? As we function on impatience And our patience is wearing thin And you live a lie that will destroy us all It's over, it's only over It's only over when we say It's over, it's only over It's only over when we say Back and to the left Back and to the left Back and to the left Come on and shoot motherfucker! Yes, you like this baby? Yes, you like this baby? Yes, you like this baby? You want to dance a little longer? Shot It's over, it's only over It's only over when we say It's over, it's only over It's only over when we say
The cloth over their head is a reference to Rene Magritte's "The Lovers". After he saw his suicidal mothers dead body dragged out of the water she drowned in her dress covered her face. He later drew paintings of people with cloth covering their faces. Look it up. I just found out and god damnit did I suddenly get where the "Casually Dressed & Deep in Conversation" imagery came from.
I wouldn't say that, it's a lot different from Casually Dressed, and has more of an Old School Hardcore influence to it. It's better than Memory and Humanity and Tales Don't Tell Themselves IMO, but not as good as Casually Dressed, Welcome Home Armageddon, or Hours
I'd like to point out that it's great how the peoples faces are covered... I don't really follow or get the metaphorical meaning behind that. But it prevents 13 year old girls ranting about how hot the band is.
@Szaam good comment, thumbs upped, for some reason i didnt like funeral much before but now im just whacking them on the jukebox at my local all the time, they've just got a new dukebox in and ive requested this track on the list
