Amazing footage! I didn't know that it gives an private owned Sea Harrier. Love this Jet. Please bring this to the RIAT 2018! Because the Brits needed it for their 100th Anniversary. ;-)) BTW, I'm your subscriber no. 103. Greetings from Germany! :-)
I want to take a flight in the L-39 at Nalls Aviation one day and he does a fantastic low level flyby in The Harrier so if no one had the opportunity to to go see them go out to a airshow near you
Great job Brother!! Glad you could save her from the scrap pile... I’m a former C141B and C-5 crew chief 1989-94 Norton AFB then Altus plus I was deployed to Saudi Arabia for Desert Storm.. I sure do miss flying around the world and keeping those old birds in the air.. I sure wish we could get a 141 flight worthy and make it a air show flying museum. But the amount of money it would take is the show stopper... Oh well at least we still have a bunch on static display..
Makes me so happy to see vets fly what they loved to fly. Over here in Sweden I'll probably never get to join the millitary because it's almost shut down, it's former great economy is put on immigration by the gov etc, and I will probably never ever get to fly even a Cessna since getting cert. costs a large sum of money.
***** What I am saying is not that I have money for either of the planes, but that flying jets privately in Sweden costs extremely much, and the only jets you can fly are private jet planes, and not any millitary looking planes at all.
***** Well license is almost same price everywhere around here, so that's not the big deal.. But flying like harriers and stuff like that is simply impossible. Only people who fly any millitary planes are people that show them off on airshows, but they're not allowed to fly around in Sweden randomly with it.
These flights are actually 'flight instruction.' The student in the rear cockpit actually flies much of the flight, under the careful guidance of former military tactical jet pilots and Certified Flight Instructors (CFI's) under a Letter of Deviation Authority granted by the FAA. If it looks like we're having fun, it's because we ARE having fun!
