Would love to have read the synopsis that was handed out at the end to read what was not able to be covered in the timeframe. I think this work is invaluable. Tu.
Interestingly, God did not save the angels and there is only one explanation that is they have the blessing of infused knowledge, which they knew what they are doing in-and-out, and instantly being defiance and opposed God the moment they made up their mind, and they will not turn back to God no matter what. Knowledge can be a blessing, a gift, or it can be a cursed depends on how we use it. Beatific Vision will not let us fall again, and we only get it when we are united with God after we died (so with angels that opposed Lucifer's rebellion). The things of heaven cannot be expressed fully in our human languages. We only can trust in God that all things will be good with him and without him everything falls.
Leave the Catholic Church where the priests hate women and become Orthodox Christian. The Orthodox priests are married, kind, and it is not punitive. So glad I became Orthodox...no more mean Jesuits.
Sr. Bethany Madonna is such a charismatic speaker. If I am ever feeling down, I just watch one of her many presentations on RU-vid and my spirits are immediately lifted. She is such an effervescent personality
Why not? The priest will not remember you, you may be embarrassed about your sins but he has heard everything and more before. He is not going to call you out if he sees you in person.
Go into your room close the door and talk to THE FATHER. HE is the only one who can Forgive your Sins! Mark 2:7 “Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?”
contemplating on Lazarus coming out from tomb as instructed by Jesus is an example of Confession because confession draws us out of darkness and into God's light and cleansed in God's love there are examples all over the bible of confession
Yes as long as you are contrite. Remember the only sin that cannot be forgiven is the sin against the Holy Ghost. That is a two-fold sin, obstinate denial or obstinate despair. Obstinate denial means that you don't think what you did was a sin so you don't ask for God's forgiveness. Obstinate despair is you think that your sin is so terrible that God will not forgive you of your sin. Both of these are fatal traps. Trust in our Lord's Mercy, and do not be afraid. The priest is not there to chastise you but to guide you back to Salvation. Ave Maria!
I would like to know how to deal with sins that are mortal but have, for years, been purposely hidden ... making ALL subsequent confessions invalid ... to the point where, at 80+ years of age it is imperative to make a good confession... without the ability to trace through the past decades to remember type or number
You would be best to make an appointment with a Priest, explain the situation and he will probably tell you to make a General Confession. When making a General Confession don't think about I've sinned 82 times and this other sin 419 times. Do, one time, 10 times, or more than 100 times. So say you've killed four people in your 80 plus years, you would say I confess the sin of murder four times. But if you use the Lord's name in vain everyday in those 80 plus years just say I've used our Lord's name in vain over 100 times or I've blasphemed over a hundred times. If you have received Holy Communion once a year for those 80 plus years but you were not in a State of Grace before doing that say over the past 60 years, then you would say I confess receiving our Lord out of the State of Grace between 50 and 100 times. Exactness is always preferred but it can be hard and a willful attempt to reveal all sins is better; the Church understands that you may not remember every number of sin. So this generalization get you in the ballpark. Above all know that God knows your heart and wants to forgive your sins! Also remember, there's only one sin that cannot be forgiven and that is the sin against the Holy Ghost. This is two part it's either obstinate denial or obstinate despair. The former is you don't think that what you've done needs God's forgiveness. The latter is you have sinned so bad that you don't think God can forgive you. All sins can be forgiven my friend. You just need a contrite heart and the willful attempt to sin no more. Lastly do not procrastinate. Do this today! I will pray for you. Please pray for the Church and for me, a wicked sinner.. Ave Maria!
Confession to God requires a self examination of their conscience. To the catholic priest that I did not go the Sunday Mass, I screw my friends wife,I hate the guy, I did not go for confession for 10 years. And other sins I do not I am aware.
Remember, confessing mortal sins are a must....period. Watching some of these videos make it seem so difficult and it's not. Take a few minutes to examine yourself before you go into the confessional. You don't have to spend minutes and minutes doing it. I guess I don't find it so difficult because I go frequently. Seriously, if you go at least once a month, and as time goes by you will find it much easier. State any mortal sins first, you will find it easier to confess lesser sins. I guess it's easy for me to say because I went to a Catholic grade school and the sisters were a great help to us in a proper and good confession.
God Bless you Father ,all you priest are so young. Please stay strong for us lay people and for the people that do not know God. God's coming is near. Before his comimg we will suffer. God have Mercy on all souls, cinvert the sinners.
Confession is not always easy, but it's definitely a great feeling when you get it all out there and you receive Absolution from the priest and you know that you are forgiven. The secret I find is to not let too many weeks build up, so hopefully not too many serious sins have occurred. When you have blessed to unload, you are less nervous. Hoping this help somebody. Trust me I've unloaded some Whoppers. I'm going to get in the habit now of going more often so it won't be such a hard thing to do. I'm aiming for twice a month. Confession is a beautiful sacrament, we are blessed to have it as Catholics.
Seriously, after a priest's first year as a priest he's more than likely to have heard it all already. Go to a priest you are comfortable with. You WILL find it easier to confess. Some priests ask many questions. It is to advise you, but I know at times there are priests I prefer over others. There is nothing wrong with that. Just my two cents.
@@joefranks4235 what you feel when you'll your sins to your priest is a sharing of guilt and thinking this man can Forgive your sins(he can't) sharing your deep secrets with someone is always a sense of unburdening. Mark 2:7 “Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only
@nathanielramos5338 absolutely it is Forgiven if you are truly sorry... I've repeated mortal sins many times, we're only human but just keep trying hard to correct that sin.
Once theres a super hot chick you should run off with her and do volunteer work in Mexico as a deacon or something. Since all the chiks dig you, thats what I d do😂
Confession has to do with One Time REPENTANCE which GOD grants a sinner upon the change of the heart…… N O T with confessing all over and all over … the same sins and asking GOD every time to forgive! Confession to the priest does NOT have any sense and is Not effective!! Bible says that Only GOD can read the heart and on that base the sins are forgiven!
Catholic Priests have not read God's word thoroughly in the Bible, If so, they would know that you no longer confess to a man, ( a priest ). You now can confess and talk directly to God through the holy Spirit, ever since ACTS Chapter 2 in the King James Bible. The Catholic Church keeps this information from you. And you should go to a Bible believing church where they have the real word of God open on the pulpit, which is the King James Bible the real Word from the Lord. ( the creater of the stars above and everything )The truth. Also, there no longer should be a Lent sacrifice, Jesus was/ is the last sacrifice on the cross needed. "It is Finished" To continue any sacrifice act is blasphemy against God and you are saying Christ's sacrifice on the cross is not enough??? Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice..IT IS FINISHED. If a church makes up their own Bible and it's not the true word of God in the King James version of God's word, then it is blasphemy. The NIV and simplified is ok as long as it is the real word of God, and no verses have been changed or taken out by man.
Why does the priest who listens to the sinner’s sins during confessional ask for a donation in exchange for expiation? Why does the priest sometimes ask for double the donation in exchange for the sinner being able to have a future sin forgiven or expiated? Just last week there was a story in Utah of a 26 year old admitting to murdering an elderly couple and stealing their credit cards during a confessional. The Priest during confessional asked for a $1,000 donation by credit card in exchange for forgiving the sin of murder & theft. Isn’t this an abuse of a confessional? During the confessional the priest asked for an additional $1,000 just in case the sinner wanted to repeat the crime with a second victim. 54544
Because Roman Catholicism is NOT biblical religion and they do NOT worship The True GOD. They set their own rules as you see contrary to requirements of Biblical GOD. Roman Catholicism misrepresent GOD of The Bible!
Brother or sister in Christ, First I hear of this, if true, it’s not Catholic teaching and one bad priest doesn’t prove Catholicism false.. doesn’t erase 2000 years of faith and teaching.. if you say that Catholicism is not Biblical you are deeply deeply mistaken.. show me the word Bible in the Bible? Show me the word biblical? The Bible does not mention the Bible as being the only source Christians may use to seek God. The word Bible comes from Greek that means book or scroll… You must also know the Catholic Church compiled the Bible and a Catholic pope approved the books of the cannon that many people worship today and call themselves Christian while spreading falsehoods about the first Christians (Catholics), same Christian’s that gave them the Bible.. Catholicism is The Church that Jesus Christ founded.. your problem is not with Catholicism, it is with your pre conceived beliefs about Catholicism.. remember that people are not perfect, Gods children fall short, including His priests.. doesn’t mean His Church is wrong.. I hope this message finds you well, much love and God Bless!
@@Greenchile1234 The entirety of Christianity is false. In fact, Christianity is so scared to death of Deuteronomy 13:1 that Christianity actually removed Deuteronomy 13:1 from the Bible and stuck it at the end of Deuteronomy chapter 12 in most newer bibles in the hopes no one will see the scripture or God forbid read it as Deuteronomy 13:1 prohibits reading the New Testament. There are about 700 other things Christianity changed in the Old Testament to make it wrongfully support the false conclusion that the Old Testament mentions Jesus Christ. Just take the books that mention king Hezekiah. Christianity changed the verb tense from “a savior was born” to “will be born” because Christianity wants you to wrongfully think the chapter is talking about Jesus Christ when it was in fact referring to king Hezekiah. Even Christianity’s baloney claim that Jesus was the Messiah is a joke as scripture says in multiple places that the Messiah must be from the line of David. As you know Christianity claims Mary was impregnated by God & God can’t be from the line of David or He would be human. Such pig crap!
In the New Testament, there are numerous reference to the usage of the word “father.” In Acts 7:2-4, Stephen refers to the ancestors of Abraham, the word “father” being used. In Philippians 2:22, Paul said, “But Timothy’s worth you know, how like a son with a father he has served with me in the work of the gospel.” St. Paul refers to himself as a spiritual father in Philemon 10, “I am appealing to you for my child, Onesimus, whose father I have become during my imprisonment. Again, Saint Paul refers to himself as the father of believers in 1 Corinthians 4;14-15, “I am not writing this to make you ashamed, but to admonish you as my beloved children. For though you might have ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers. Indeed, in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel. In Matthew 23:9 Jesus was using hyperbole against the pride of the parisees who used these titles for their own gain
