nice vid why does repulse never work for me to jump up do you have to jump before you hit repulse or at the same time or something? i can never get it to work
I feel this because I play only M&K now and I am terrible with a controller. Back in the 360 era of Halo I would obliterate people in Halo 3, Reach and 4, in 2014 I switched to PC cus my xbox 360 broke and I barely touched a controller since then (one or two non-shooter casual games I still use a controller on PC). When MCC launched on PC, I plugged in my controller to my PC just to see how I'd do in an FPS and I couldn't do JACK cus it felt so weird, I got some kills but barely and I couldn't nail the sensitivity and hated the turning radius, but what messed me up was the insane aim assist it actually made me miss cus I was so used to not having it lol, I popped off on M&K as soon as I disconnected the controller.
I just can't PVP on controller. I mean, I can sorta hang because the controller has a more aggressive assist but you still lose out in turnaround/ look time. Mouse and keyboard at 120FPS is hands-down the best. It's almost unfair that controller players have to compete with that but at the same time I do alright on controller, again, because of the slightly more aggressive assist. I just can't spin around to engage someone behind me on controller very well and if I do increase sensitivity or acceleration, it makes it so I can't fine tune my aim so much and I overshoot. Tactical slayer for instance needs mouse and keyboard because it's all about popping off the first shot. You're dead in less than a second.
Controller is OP in this game in a lot of situations. I did a similar test with my friend with the difference that we are both M&K players. He is really good with m&k. He has thousands of hours in aim lab and used to play CS:GO at a competitive level. I played for years with a controller back on the xbox 360 but I haven't touched one in ages before this 1v1. We played 1v1 battle rifles only and although it was close I won. Which is honestly a joke. I should have been beaten into the ground if the game was balanced fairly. To be fair it was his first time playing halo meanwhile I grew up playing it but since it was BRs only and halo is super simple and easy game compared to what we are used to that gap didn't really play a part IMO.
Great video! I dont know if you have heard of the flick slide but would love to see some jumps with that! I know how to do the Recharge flick slide jumps like the one in tower and the mangler to bridge, but im struggling to find other useful spots to use it in. Also a super useful overjump worth showcaseing imo is in live fire the jump to nest clamber skip. Its so useful as a starting strat because it helps you shoot at sandbags faster with the commando
So if I have any trouble with these, I'm going to comment, but I will be frank, I don't exactly know how to get a kneecap to work for me. Do you have a video on this?
Kneecapping is just jumping before you hit a ledge and bouncing off of it Your knees quite literally cap off of the ledge too send you upwards. It's a timing thing.
Great video. It's rare that someone highlights a jump that's new to me, especially with the amount of them that are repeated in the average guide. I'm currently a high Diamond player (D5 - D6) who recently switched to MNK, and I am looking for someone who is Onyx 1600 to 1800 to just show me what I am doing wrong, because I think I can improve a lot more quickly with a second pair of eyes. If you are interested, I'd really like someone's help, and you seem to have the necessary qualifications of Onyx 1600+. Please let me know if you are.
