There is a difference between the demands of a degree by the elites and some talent without degrees you refused to interview! Now define success! Millionaires? Multi millionaires? Billionaires? How many rich "successful" people are miserable? Many committed suicide! Out of the 3 he mentioned, 2 have used their so-called success to silence people who made them a "success!" If you're moderately comfortable and provide for your family with the essentials and a little more, especially if you're happy, would that be considered successful? Don't confuse lust of greed with success! Don't define a man by his wallet and his degree! Ask the wives and children of the ultra rich men who's time is consumed by "success!" How many "successful people are divorced?
What a phenomenal actress, singer, dancer, writer! The great, multi talented and forever beautiful Julie Andrews is a treasure - the whole world loves her! I am from Brazil, by the way.Bravo, Julie!
I think I recall him saying in his book that he was working at a place and got fired because he wouldn't do what his boss told him to do. His boss told him to get on his knees and scrape gum off the ground. He swore that he would never allow that to happen again and so he became a entrepreneur. You cannot live a life without being under someone's thumb. All humans have to do what other people tell them to. Even celebrities. If this is not so then try walking into a bank and tell them that you are a celebrity and to worship you and throw money at you. See how that works out.

In the part starting at 21:51 he talked about aerobic exercise for neurogenesis; anything that gets your heart beating fast and gets you breathing quickly and hard. He then went on to say that interval training or high intensity training is not good and it needs to be a sustained 20, 30, 40 minute workout. You can make adjustments to your HIIT training to keep your breathing and heart rate high enough for long enough. When you stop moving (or ease up) it takes time for your heart rate and breathing to drop too much. Alter the timing of your ease up periods; don't ease up too much or rest for too long then your heart rate won't drop too much.
I'm currently reading the book. Chap 3, pg 52 "...over 40 percent of married American women already earn more than their husbands" per U.S. Census Bureau. I find that hard to believe, is it cited in the References section - I cannot find it!
1 more thought...I think your books should be used in DBT's..I happened upon you via a podcast(I don't listen to Podcasts') but I watched and listened to Mr.Greene 3 times within 18-20 hours⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Mr.Robert Greene or Anybody who knows the honest answer...I want to start off with his "bundle"48 Laws of Human nature,etc.etc. here is my dilemma and/or ignorance..1st question..Mr. Robert Greene do these books have some sort of self-help,interaction..My Son is in prison and apparently they have changed the type of books..any books sent to where he is..MUST be paperback..I guess they now have an e-book library but Mr.Greene?..from my understanding(which is so busy that by the time I think I can understand..it's in that garble-language🤦here goes what I understood..YOU,personally,have to contact the prison to authorize and consent for use"..and then my daughter or granddaughter(they are not in prison "pre se")..is there anybody that can help me get this accomplished and know "help is on the way"..I believe in change because I believe Mr.Greene!" Thanks
The people who asked questions had not read the book and the book answers those questions. Then the last question was just trolling. This is not an intellectual discussion. It is like showing up to class not having done the homework. I'm worried that these engineers are not doing science. They have their own ideas and are not looking critically at their own paradigms. This is why large language models are not able to get AGI because the people they are testing it do not think critically they just regurgitate facts and do not create anything. the hardware will only go as far as the people who train it. this is a good example of what you put into a system is what you get out. this to me explains a lot about both google and why we are were we are in this process.
I love dennett. Everything made sense. Except for the free will stuff. He's clearly afraid something horrible would happen to society and the law if people came to understand that free will doesn't really exist. I don't share his fear. Most people denying free will seem very sensible grounded individuals. And the reasons they give are much better than the strawman Dennett presents here. I think his fear took him over and much intelligent people have many ways of rationalising their fears to themselves. His compatibilism never really took off outside of academia, and that's probably for the better. Not in the least for all his own other work. It's all genetics and memetics, and the self is a benign user illusion... but it has free will? It is not needed to make this move. But it is very hard to change your mind on something you've written and published a book about. I think his slight of hand on the free will thing will be soon forgotten and all his amazing work on consciousness, the self, religion, evolution and memetics will live on for a long long time. Thank you dennett for being an inspiration for generations to come. You've been thinking.
That ass in the middle isn’t a woman!!! So, yeah soy for women can be so much more toxic!! Bravo Dave for holding your own when you were clearly put there so the other two could try to debunk grass fed protein as a healthy alternative view!!
The guy in the middle CLEARLY hates Dave and is an ASS; super disrespectful, mocking, bringing HIS politics and prejudices into the discussion! I have no respect for him!!
I am just finishing year 1 of my masters and once finished, will move on to my PhD in early modern medicine. I find you very engaging and you're making the talk very interesting. I do wonder if the men found it awkward during this talk?

How about translating (explaining) "virtu"? Grammatically (and etymologically), this word means "quality of a "Vir" (man). In other words, "virtu" stands for "manliness". Thus, virtu confronts "Fortuna" (woman). The virtu/fortuna interaction (we may regard it "agonistic") is quintessentially human. An ideal man of virtu must conquer Fortuna to become a Homo Felix (happy man (or by the same token) a successful "Prince", if you would. I might propose--at the risk of appearing somewhat tongue and cheek--virtu and fortuna should be placed in apposition, rather than in opposition, to each other. Would, pace the Tudor bard, the Florentine Machiavelli be considered a political philosopher at par with or even greater than his Oriental predecessor Kautilya of post Alexandrian India?
always felt stem is for ppl with loving parents and non-traumatic upbringing whereas art (well at least in my experience) for the ones with turbulent lives so interesting how s asians parents push kids not realising how the environment their kid is in is not conducive to it
