Hey guys and if you didn't already know, my name is Bobby and this is my channel I had created to upload videos of anything I get myself into. HOPE YOU ENJOY!
How do you back up games that you've already installed on the hard drive? I've had a game disc that broke.. I got the PKG file from the internet the game installed and I updated it. It took me hours and hours to download, install and update the game. How do I now back up what I've installed again as a PKG file or ISO or whatever would be best to back this up on an external drive and then reinstall it later / on another PS3 system? P.s. I know I'll need the RAP file for my game but I'm fairly sure I've found a 13000 rap list file and I know how to install raps as RIFs in Apolo save tool or just store them on an usb/exdata folder.
@@therealovidox Yes there is a way but it'll be in folder format but you can use PSN Liberator to convert it back to a PKG. As for the update, I'm not sure of. But anyway, use a file manager (I use multiman) to browse your PS3 HDD and go to this directory "dev_hdd0/game/<GameID>/" . Just look for your game folder ID and copy that to your portable hdd then use PSN Liberator to convert it back a PKG file like here in this tutorial. I have a PKGi list of links for games and I could give you the game link if you need it. Hope this helped.
@@israeloplays A patch folder??? Is it 2 separate folders or 2 folders in one. I've never come across something like that I don't think. Not that I can remember anyway.
I just love this video and I love all your tutorials I'm a huge fan of the Wii tutorials and you gave me a great idea to learn from your videos and that's how I made it my way and got all the games too thank you so much❤❤❤❤❤❤
installing pkg works great, but there is one problem... after i boot up the game and after it installs some files to the hdd - it appears to search for a save file, then immediately after just locks to a black screen. the game im trying here is skate 3.
@@mustafa-schmeichel It doesn't work. That's why I made this video cause I ran into the same problem. The only way I was able to play disc 2 was to convert my saves for retroarch. It sucks, I know but I don't know any other way around it.
thank you, I searched a lot of places, but it was your video that showed everything right!!! tell me, how can I split the pkg into several files? if the game weighs 40 gigabytes, make sure that at least 5 gigabytes are installed
@@gameready1635 Copy on this link ( ps3.brewology.com/downloads/get.php?id=12582 ) to download PS3 Splitter. Use Multiman to install multi file pkg files. Hope this helps
For anyone whose game package file is larger than 4gigs, you have to use PS3Splitter to split the package file into multiple package files; then install the package files using multiman.
@@RayaRaj I've got a video that I did going over on how to convert ps1 game saves from ps4 to retroarch and it can also be done the opposite way too. Go here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0veB6x8ynMw.htmlsi=QabYXqjwd6ECG4iE. Hope it helps
Yeah unfortunately not every game is compatible which really sucks. Did you look at that compatibility list to see if your game will work using this method?
@@Bobby8451 that was my suspicion! I’ll give the comparability list a look but I believe I just picked a game that isn’t compatible! Tutorial is great!
I've never tried that, but I'd assume it'd be the same. Not sure though where the theme would be located. If you find that out, you could replace it. BTW, make sure to keep a backup of the original music file. Keep it safe in case you want the original theme music back.
@@Bobby8451 Hey thanks for the advice! Unfortunately it seems like it loads the at9 file from the installed theme pkg when you sign in, so no way to have it permanently change without editing the actual pkg (I think, I don't know much about the ps4). And I found the temporary location for the at9 file after you sign in but I can't write anything inside that folder even with r/w turned on. So this is beyond me, if ya ever find anything let me know!
Hey man I'm having a prob with you guide on updating switch nsp for skyline. So,Heres the exact problem In the video The part where you pasted the first command it seems you were able to install without ny probs But I've tried it recently,at first it couldn't access the internal storage. Then I pasted another command so as to give access,it did so I pasted the command again but now it's stuck. I dunno why either because of Android 14 or whatever. Please id rly appreciate if you could help.
Hey, how's it going Bobby? Was wondering if you ever had any issues when using the arrows to switch between channels. If I open and back out of the wads, they all work great, but if I use the arrows, my Wii freezes and then i have to turn off and on the Wii again. If so, was curious to see if there was a solution for this or to just make sure not to use the arrows. Thanks so much for the tutorial and hope 2024 is treating you well!
Tell ya the truth it's been awhile and I don't recall ever having issues like that. I may have but like I said it's been awhile. I seem to jump around to different consoles and leaving the others alone for awhile. Unfortunately I've been more into ps3 ps4 lately. I wish I could be of more help. I've already forgotten how all this works. I'd have to watch my own video again to learn how to do it all over again. Lol 😆
