I find some comfort knowing his father is frail and got beaten up. I'm happy for Gordon being in a better place than what he grew up with. This reminds me of when he did the usual yelling in one of his shows but stopped when a chef was affected on a deeper level since he also grew up with an abusive father.
Fairly easy to comment. But Peter was forced to watch at gun point while the rape happened. Not an entire excuse for his behaviour after, but it does explain to a certain extent why he became overbearingly protective afterwards. Both of them were victims and dealt with the trauma differently after the fact.
Amazing bravery but should we really be applauding such a high level of self sacrifice bordering on masochism and would we want our own children to endure this kind of physical and mental pain in the name of national pride?!

My sister was sa by our step father,she forgave him,i didn't, because i was the protector 😢 i know that's shallow,he took her innocent's,many years later he had a stroke and was paralyzed on the floor,i left him to it ,went to pub and had a beer,he lived 😢 after all these years i can still hear my sister crying,and me standing in her door asking if she was all right,she said she had nightmares,and i went back to bed, little did i know he had her by the throat and told her he would kill us all if she said anything 😢so i know what your husband felt ,he couldn't protect you 😢so Gordon Hayward hope you read this,you can't hide behind mogrel mob anymore .bye
