There are only 2 "hard" measures where I need to see how the violas are handling it, but the camera isn't focusing on them at that time. Around 8:30 16th notes are introduced in a largo 4/4, which comes as a big shock after droning half and whole notes for multiple minutes in a row. I need to see how the violas handle the transition to 16th notes, whether they do string crossings, or play in a high position, but the camera doesn't show them until it's too late.
Fantastic overall piece of orchestral music. The 4th movent really is something to behold. Mr. Gerard Schwartz has assembled the best of the best players from the best US Orchestras who come together to perform and record these amazing masterpieces. BRAVO SIR and all the wonderful musicians. Thank You Kindly.
Just to take the difficulty up to 11. I didn't realize that the piece starts in 7 flats and eventually modulates into 6 sharps for that fiendish flute/piccolo theme at 3:29. Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! ks15.imslp.org/files/imglnks/usimg/d/da/IMSLP523782-PMLP179424-PMLUS00571-Complete_Score_2.pdf
This is not an analog horror soundtrack, nor is it about consuming spinach to increase one’s strength before beating up their enemy, or being kind to one’s web-footed friends. It’s a triumphant song of celebration and American patriotism.
Jon Manasse's clarinet tone is just so rich and beautiful, man. Idk who's that player with the gold flute, but daaaang his low notes are just so wonderful to listen to. These people are very good!! Wonderful performance. My fav movement is definitely mov. 1
I heard that from little Einsteins when first saw this on Disney junior that song was so sad and i cry alot on this one but after watching this now it still very sad

Kind of harsh. Get relaxed and broad. Don't play so hard, everybody. Maybe less 'All-Stars' and more Symphony Orchestra musicians? Maybe it's all the sound engineer's fault!!!! Could be...
