That was my dream since I was a kid, but then a marriage at early age, kids, etc. And I am now living a life with a woman I have nothing in common: she hates sports while I love sports, she hates water and can’t swim while water and diving are everything to me, she hates the country side while I hate living in big cities…. While I was watching your video, I just saw my life how I had imagined it before knowing her and her becoming pregnant thus the marriage.. good luck to you. Live your dream the fullest! Also, you were very lucky to go through the INPP, most of their personnel used to work for the Comex and are amongst the best in the world in this field.
Great video and really like the mods. I have a standard Classic 350 which is also a great bike and also recently added a Moto Guzzi V7 Special which might also be a bike you would like. Agree that TCX boots are fantastic for commuting and city riding. Cheers from 🇦🇺
Wow !!! Living in Bergen is a dream location, I am Australian & been twice to Bergen, stayed once in Sandviken & other time in Hetlevik, both times just couple weeks … would love to live there…I ride a 411 Himalayan for the past 4 years, thought about getting the 450 but instead I am waiting for the release here in Australia of the Guerilla 450 next month… I have paid deposit so waiting for it to arrive … you will have a blast in your Himalayan.. I love mine and I am 75 yrs old .. cheers. …. 🦘🦘🦎🏍️
@@777interesting Thank you very much for the comment! Bergen is a beautiful place, I still get excited every time I wonder around the town. Hope you get your bike soon, how exciting! 🏍️🦘🇳🇴
Welcome back- having seen how well your 650 went at the type of speeds that make a journey enjoyable (your france tour) I looked at ordering a black 650 interceptor, complete with alloy spoked rims - Until - last year/november I ordered, for feb/march delivery of the Himalayan 450 black tubeless. Unfortunately they were delayed and despite having all the accessories ordered from Zana India from january my bike arrived here in uk in august. Best decision I made, bike is perfect for my use (CMS Exeter - assume you visited them?) and now with 500 miles (800km) covered it is just getting better, although dartmoor hardly compares to my previous tours across Norway. I had lost you subscription so now have a few older items to view, thanks for posting.
@@daveh1625 Thank you for the comment. Glad to hear you’re enjoying the Himalayan, isn’t it a lovely bike? I was wondering, what sort of accessories have you installed on your bike so far?
@@theoceanpilot I cannot fully update - this is my fourth attempt! I think some youtube AI stops and deletes me confirming my India purchases - maybe ZANA company breaks some youtube rules/adverting, no idea? Good quality and lower price than RE, especially last jamuary, all fitted well, good powder coatings. No idea if I could send you better details/photo. You can see zana on a youtube search anyway which is strange I cannot add details of my purchases for you.
Question to any commercial divers out there. Is there a pre requisit to doing a commercial diving course / working as a commercial diver? I am already a recreational padi diver (Dive master). But do i need to learn "on land" welding or construction first?
Love the video! I have a commercial diving license, but not sat! Currently working for TFMC as a diving engineer with sat dive planning. (Just started, and really love it)
I hope you are also ready for the stress of long periods of unemployment, breakups of relationships, long periods of boredom plus the higher than average suicide rate amongst pro divers. I was a air and sat diver for 20 years and and I knew and knew of at least 12 pro divers who ended their own lives. They don't tell you that at the schools do they! Also diving offshore is banned in Norway but they still train there..? Hippocracy or what?
@@ian-atg This was common knowledge amongst most pro divers in the 80's, 90's and even into this century, the last one I heard of was a Norwegian ex diver I worked with as an inspection engineer who killed himself around 2015. Why on earth would I make up such a figure? If anything it's more, those 12 I knew of were over a 40 year career offshore.
@@ian-atgdo you say that with experience? A lot of the commercial divers Ive spoken too say they love every minute of it. Not to mention it is a very necessary job, someone has to do it.
@@tobybeggs8676 I am a diver, but not a commercial diver. But I have friends who are in the industry and nobody ever recommends it. All I hear is that jobs are hard to come by, salaries low and the work is very dangerous. The thing is that many people will never admit to a poor choice they made in career, so they will try to make it sounds they always wanted it. But objectively this job is not good and wickedly dangerous. Not to mention how hard it is to get into it.
I am that old that my twenty five years of sat diving were before go- pro movie star divers, and even before gas reclaim, yes, thats what I said, "Before gas reclaim.
Hello from Berlin, Germany. My trip begins in two days to the Dolomites...for the first time. Your videos are amazing and inspiring....please more! You seem to be very nice and well educated people.
@@theoceanpilot Thank you for the answer. I ride a Honda CB1000R Neo Sports Cafe. I've already been in the low mountain ranges with it, it works great. I'm looking forward to your next videos.
@@theoceanpilot By the way, I drive the same black BMW 3 Series Coupe (E30) as the one in your photo! For 24 years!!! Oh...and the Alps and Dolomites trip with my Honda was amazing!
@@pma6738 Awesome! I sadly don’t own the E30 any longer but I do miss it. It was originally a 318 but I swapped the engine for 2.5 straight six. A trip in the alps with a E30 325i, wouldn’t that be something? 😎
What's the best way to go about affording the appropriate training courses as it seems very expensive. Also what would be your recommendation on courses to enter the industry as it's an industry that l've been interested in for many years but always thought it was too expensive to even get the training etc.
You need alot off balls to do this job I tried a course back in the early 90s in Exmouth Devon and lasted about a week into the course as I was just not up to diving plus I suffered from Costa phobia and also the school was closed down in the end by health and safety executive over student dying on the course and that was a Level 3 course you could only dive down to 150 feet not saturation diving which is completely different
Hey man where is your seat from? I've just picked up my GT 650 and started a channel very similar to yours! Shame you haven't posted anything recent! Hope all is well!
Hey Jordy, thanks for the message. The seat is from Baak motorcycle. On the pricy side but beautiful quality, love the seat. I’ve subscribed to your channel, keep up the good work 😊
So glad I have stumbled across your channel! The cinematography and production quality is top notch. Love your tasteful & meticulous Continental GT build. Please can you do a video showing an overview of all your riding gear? The backpack helmet jacket and even neck warmer in this video are super cool
Hi and thank you for the kind feedback, it’s much appreciated 😊 I can’t promise that as I live in a different country without my bike and gear :( However there will be new content coming out soon about a new bike! keep an eye out.
Hii brother amazing video obviously and thanks for lot of information and sharing free knowledge to me , personally it helped me alot and bro i have many doubts about air diver about the hole course please please!! guide me from india i have 0% knowledge about commercial driving I HOPE YOU WILL HELP ME 🙏
