Previous owner of my boat did the same damn thing with both water tanks, which you cannot adhere anything to that type of plastic. It must be re welded with similar plastic. Anyways I have to replace both port and starboard shelves for those tanks and port side is what the rudder turning block bolts to😒
I have this. It's not working properly, and the full tank indicator keeps turning on, even though the water tank has been drained, what's the solution? Thank you very much.
your forestay is way too loose, I think. also looks you'll have to climb up there to figure out. definitely never force grind it up, it WILL always damage something. if it doesn't go up, try let it go the other direction and see if it is still stuck. finally definitely use some McLube (basically PTFE suspension solution) , very effective if it's just friction
Brooo, I didn’t know you had footy of the whole process! Niiiice, man people gonna love this story haha! I can tell y’all as someone who’s seen this story unfold, there’s some epic stuff to come. Between the gas in diesel tanks and the noodle mast plus all the other crazy stuff, you got one heck of a tale to tell bud. Stoked it’s goin well man. Livin the dream!
I just purchased a Morgan 41io ketch. 1983. I will be following you for some advice. I did not get an inspection. Was on the hard for over 8 years as i found out. Here we go!!!
@@SailingKitabu Let's pretend you are correct even though you aren't. What provides the delay between start winding and main winding energizing? Answer is nothing. They get energized simultaneously by the same relay. You said it needed to charge before the main winding was powered. That is incorrect. The capacitor provides a phase shift to the start winding
Correct! Marina sold to Craig and Windrose has been home to a plethora of kind folks over the last couple years. Craig still keeps her up and takes her out every so often!
I've found that a common problem leading to many failures is gov't overreach and regulations...... all for your safety.... of course. Great video on getting gov't out of the dehumidifier. Lol
I'm still debating whether I want to do this repair or pull the climate control box, open it up, and solder the broken joints,I just did that with the speedometer on my 85 Civic.
Milkshake oil problem has been fixed! Motor is back to healthy shape. Was a bad water pump seal allowing freshwater into the engine crankcase. Decided to bypass the old water pump and installed two electric pumps instead.
yeah, all my dehumidifiers have died after a while because it is all cheap Chinese crap and the government trying to make everything more efficient it is not efficient to replace a dehumidifier every 5 years because of too many gadgets to make it run the way the government wants not to mention planned obsolescence of all these companies to make more money
Sorry to hear your engine is down. Old boats have problems, hope you get the engine running again. I have to replace the rudder tube on my 1979 Ericson 25+ which should be to much fun.
Turns out the issue can be corrected by resoldering the contacts on the circuit board for the AC switch. They fail but don't look bad, they develop micro cracks. Resoldering the board may fix it.
Looks like the same model as mine. I wish you would have shown how to remove the control/circuit cover. I can't for the life of me figure it out. All the screws are out. It pops up in the middle but the skinny ends won't budge no matter how hard I pry.
I picked up a rather nice and clean Whirlpool unit at the curb on garbage pickup day. I plugged it in and ran it overnight. The bucket filled with water to the point of shutting off the unit. But... I detected that occasionally when the electronics were powering the unit off, the compressor would remain running. Now, when the evaporator/condenser fan isn't running, but the compressor is, heat builds up. It doesn't take long for the thermal overload switch to trip at the compressor. Okay, let's check the relay operating the compressor... Sure enough, the control side goes high and low (12 volts) as commanded by the electronics. However, the power side remains hot all the time intermittently. Even with the power cord removed from the mains, continuity was at the power side of the compressor relay. A lookup of the number printed on the relay shows eBay has them for under $10 U.S. including shipping. A relay is on the way! Once the relay arrives and the faulty unit replaced, we'll see if that was the only problem or there are other issues in the electronic logic. Boy, let me tell you... The dehumidifiers sold today are pretty much garbage lasting barely out of their warranty periods.
@@TheSealShepherd Yep! It was the relay. For the last two seasons, that free-at-the-curb dehumidifier has been keeping the air dry in my basement over the Summer months for the last two seasons!
