Its been 24 years since I played FF7. Back then couldn't play when it 1st came out as I couldn't afford to own a PS1 after I bought it though I still couldn't afford the game itself so I borrowed it from a friend. If I recall it had like 3 CDs you had to swap out after reaching certain points. Such good times. Now fast forward till today and I am once again in the same position I was 24 years ago lol. I can't afford the FF7 remake despite having a job due to the pricing and the fact I have mortgages to cover. As such I have to have a friend share his steam library with me so I can play it. The irony of it all. lol
I like it better together. The original where in the second half the piccolo/fife comes in with the melody after the orchestra crescendos into the next part is lacking on the remake version.
I was missing the brass of the original in the remake. This scratches that itch. the strings are complemented by what feels like a *thunderous* brass reprieve. there's the thunder.
Glass Shatters on the elevators of Shinra Tower and this badass song plays. These two songs together are way more epic than the boss battle song for the original game.
