The mission of the Central Texas Food Bank (CTFB) is to nourish hungry people and lead the community in ending hunger. Since 1981, CTFB in collaboration with more than 300 partner agencies has been helping Central Texans in need providing healthy food, nutritional program assistance and education, so they can make better choices at mealtime. In the past 12 months, CTFB distributed 24 million pounds of food to 300,000 Central Texans in its 21 county service territory. 🇩🇿Truly, volunteering is a beautiful and wonderful thing. I wished to volunteer and do charitable work, get to know different races and peoples of the world, and explore different cultures. Your brother Mansour from Algeria.
God gave us fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean meat and fish to sustain us. Food. It has long concerned me that most food support organizations give out a lot of white breads, sugar saturated bakery goods, and heavily processed foods such as cereals. The poor among us get the lowest quality food.
but that is what is donated mostly, veggies/meats would spoil if not given out right away. yes good nutritional food would be best but that is not is given, if poor or in need you take what you get, sorry to say.
What to expect for the volunteers and workers? I am guessing. I guess they will take home double the distributed ration distributed to each vehicle owner, and will end up fat.
There is not one honest nor trustworthy person amongst them all. Die as young as you can and do not willingly procreate to subject your progeny to what is coming. Please spare your offspring.
I promised to volunteer at my local Food Bank and I’m registered at the Baltimore Food Bank location. There’s actually a waiting list to help out and I’m on the list. I’ll get an email when they need me.
My husband and myself have been going to our local food bank and the dream center we are elderly now and have health issues we really really appreciate everyone and everything that has been done for us a big thank yall to all for their parts in assisting all of us would go to food banks 😁😁😁
Cool! So you demonstrated that one can sufficiently sustain themselves with food stamps. It seems that food stamps are serving their purpose - to keep people alive while they get themselves a job and a better living situation. Thanks!
I used to go to galindo and they really do! Once I came to lunch without a lunchbox or lunch and this lunch lady kept yelling at me! I was only in pre-k, so I didn't know what to do.
We could really use adult volunteers right now during our busy season. Thanks for spreading the word! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8LCnzRAmI-k.html

Really?! 7grain bread, almond butter (which I love but is pricey), and snack foods? Look, when people need to rely on govt aid to feed themselves and their families, I don't think it's a huge stretch to purchase white bread as opposed to a cottage wheat. The goal is to eat something, not be able to buy all nice food with no HFCS. I love Tiffany's, but sometimes all you can afford is the ring in the Crackerjack Box. (BTW, if you all have Dollar Trees, they sell cottage wheat bread for a dollar.
Wouldn't it be cheaper to use crushed canned tomatoes instead of spaghetti sauce and buy a brick of cheese and shred it yourself? I thought that food stamps were allotted a month at a time. This would allow bulk buying. If you were able to buy in bulk you could invest in the ingredients to make home-made whole wheat bread.
Pretty good but the first thing is that: Food Stamps are only a supplement-an addition-a bonus If you are truly compromised you need to skip the snack(cheezits) and fad foods (7 grain) The “food stamp challenge” is lame because asit was not meant to be your whole food budget. 2 jars of salted Almonds? tsk tsk What happened to a 50# bag of beans for $26 and 50# bag of rice for $36 and 50# bag of flour and 50# bag of popcorn for $16 and a Sam’s club membership is a one time expense $35 & save
