Really enjoyed your narration of Agatha Raisin (MC Beaton) story (Blood of an Englishman)! Amazing how you got the voices so like the previous narrator, to help the audience continue mentally to keep them straight in the mind's eye. One thing, tho, was the pronunciation of Bicester and Mircester. Could you look up how to pronounce them please? We have relatives living in the former and know the pronunciation, and Mircester (look it up) is very similar, not the way you recorded them. Other than that, great work! Thank you. Will look forward to more of your renditions! :)
His love of the characters and the story comes through in his performance. He's now also done Somewhere Beyond the Sea and I feel so moved by it, I can't even find the words to express how much.
asian women writers are condemned to write fake stories centered around being asian. She had no business to write about the poppy war. why can't asian women just write like an american author like white women can write like an american. asian women are trapped into a role of writing some quaint fiction like tripmaster monkey. why can't asian women just write sci fi like ursula quinn? about a made up world? not some weird asian story that tickles the fancy of the white men who control the writing industry
Dear Scott, You are my favorite narrator and when I heard you would be working on “Eruption”, I was thrilled! I hope there will be more but I recognize we may not be so lucky but I can already feel that same melancholy you speak of. Michael was taken too young. He was a fascinating man and his disbelief in the climate crisis was disturbing. How such a bright man could believe in far right conspiracy theories is disillusioning. I’ll have to look too see if there are biographies on Crichton. You, of course, would be the ideal narrator. I’ve been in a nursing home in California for 4 years & all I want is a small studio & another ESA (emotional assistance animal). Did I mention a flat safe neighborhood? I’ll be in a wheelchair most of the time & the areas for foot aren’t safe. I’m younger than the vast majority of patients & I share on a man’s floor with men screaming, the constant noise & the isolation is brutal. I long my own room & miss my fur baby like you couldn’t believe. But, I won’t be surprised if I end up not going anywhere. My laptop was stolen. I’d thought of trying to write a book about my experiences but I am using a $2k trust to try to stop dropping weight. The food is the worst I’ve ever experienced. They have cooks who can’t eat their menu are out of luck. Veggies are all canned or frozen, cheap, no nutrients & I’m going to starve. My cat died last year and it’s my fault. The stranger who set it up kept him from me for the last 7 months of my life so while he died October2024,they found my little Siamese in his tiny bed & he slept with me. I apologize but I’ve loved Michael Crickton, you and have enjoyed countless novels by Patterson. Thank you for selecting such excellent and provocative novels to us. 💙
I just finished your book, Rez ball. I really enjoyed it as it also related to my childhood. I'm not native, but grew up in an impoverished inner city neighborhood. I appreciated your insight on life on the "rez". Thanks for the good read!👍🏾

most of the asian american female authors are married to white or jewish men, think of a few and more than 75% are married to white men. If they write about asian american topics keep in mind, they grew up in a white middle class environment and went to elite colleges and have advanced degrees like the author. Take Celeste Ng and Amy Chua.
I have an almost 5 year old and we listen to wedgie and gizmo a lot. I had to put a face to the voice and saw this. While I’m here, just gotta say I love your portrayal of gizmo!
I, too, have read and thoroughly enjoyed the book! I hope to find a narration of "The Color Of Water", as well. James McBride drew me in with the descriptions of his familial experiences, and for that, I thank him! And, as for Mr Hoffman, he could not have stated it any better. 🎉❤😊
I have to say I fell in love with Oliver purely on his voice at first. The way he speaks slow and consider. It makes you melt. Such a great range of voices and the characters are brought to life by how well they’re read. Genuinely cannot wait to listen to the rest of read by @joejameson.
I’m deep into your reading The Last Enchantment right now and I can’t tell you how much I enjoy all of them. Read the series many times over the years and you capture it just brilliantly. Thank you for it.
HI, Dom --- Always good to see ya. Keep on. Take care. ;) -- David, San Francisco (long since bagged outta theatre, except for doing work now and then for Dan Hoyle because.... reasons. heh )
Hi Carrington--also a big Marilynne Robinson fan, was delighted by what you have to say here. BTW, you narrated my second novel, "Owl Island," and did such a wonderful job. Randy Sue
I looked you up after listening to book burners. You are one the most talented voice actors I’ve ever heard. Your pitch and tone are so easy to listen to and your talent for the different voices is unbelievable.
