WOW 😮 great channel I love seeing your beautiful dogs working maybe one day I can get a few of my own.i don't know what to train them for yet I don't small game hunt anymore it's too hard for me to get around like I did when I was younger 😅 anyway I'm gonna lock your channel in and I can't wait for your next video have a great day
it was very good love that its the start off the Season love seeing all the gun dogs when you work them all as a team thank you very much keep up the good work and cant what to see you next one in the Field
Love the big Golden, he reminds me of my last two goldens ! My last one was from Westhide in Hereford , off a Mrs Fraser , all long ago now ! I keep saying ill get another dark working strain golden one of these days ?
Nice video, some of the road shots looked familiar, but might just be me assuming everywhere that looks like our bit of Cumbria is near us ......lol Lovely videos of the dogs.Had our first walked up day last week. Loved seeing your old girl out, great stuff.
How do you get the dogs to give something direct to your hand? My terrier cross loves bringing/carrying toys naturally but when she gets a foot away she drops the toy and comes in for the treat/stroke.
WOW what a shock for you both and a massive upheaval, you looked after those kennels and house 👌 I’m not directly involved with shooting but a small business owner in the farming community so know all of the struggles!! This didn’t come across at all negative and anyone with your can do attitude will make anything work, good luck 😊🤞😊
It was definitely a shock. But we will be so grateful when we get to chose our own house, and our kennel set up is already better! 🥰 Thankyou so much for your kind words, it’s really appreciated.
Nice video, looks like Graythwaite, used to do some beating on the neighboring shoot. I've only ever been nervous at one test. Club test, I'd won the club open so lined up against the opposing No1 dog. That just so happened by a FTch handled by the guy who'd won that years British Spaniel Championship 😂😂 I went to pieces lol Think Westmorland do some training classes. up at a friend. of ours Personally I've always viewed tests as a good training day under the gaze of some top handlers who can give you excellent advice after seeing your dog run through its paces. Charity test next week, Championship winning judge again, plus members of the England Game Fair team, great day out Again, really nice video to watch, reminded me of my days at Pilling Moss Gundog Club down in Lancashire
Hi! Sorry to hear this! Could your husband not go into another headkeeper position if he has the experience and knowledge? Is it possible the new lease owner already had someone in mind to take on the role of being the headkeeper
Thankyou, and yes he could go into a new one but he doesn’t want to, and neither do I. It’s proven it’s not the industry to be tied to and we wouldn’t want to put our trust and devotion into it again. The man that let Chris go was taken on as a manager, he will have someone who he knows he can trust to do his dirty work his way which, although a rubbish situation for us, is expected with these types of people.
Hope the guy gets what he deserves in life....nothing good.. You are much better off, what you get now will be your own you can move on and have a fantastic future, You two deserve the Best
This is a sad and cruel state of affairs which casts a shadow over our industry. As a Keeper myself your brave vlog should make everyone aware of the pressures that a keeper and there family's face and how ruthless this business can be. I have know doubt you will both bounce back from this and should treat it as just a dropped stich in life tapestry. Good luck to you both with your future ventures what ever they may be. Your RU-vid videos have been a joy to watch and have gone a long way to promote the shooting industry as a hole in a good light and long may they continue.👍👍
Thankyou for your kind words and support!! I hope it does show the reality of the industry for those interested. We’ve taken a lot of good away from it Ofcourse, but looking back are definitely glad it’s ended
I wish you both the very best in the future and I feel you came across very well and not at all negative. I’m very disappointed for you and what’s happened. Onwards and upwards always! ❤xx
So sorry to hear this. I too believe everything happens for a reason, grab it with both hands. Wishing you both all the best. Yes please to a kennel tour and just keep the videos coming.

A kennel tour would be great. I'm a big believer that things happen for a reason and I'm sure that you both will be stronger and happier in the long run, thanks for your honesty
So sorry to hear that just to say I was made redundant after 47 years in the same job overnight. My world fell apart but let me assure you it was the best thing that ever happened. Good luck you deserve it in the end.

Well done for having the courage to make this video, have missed you posts for a while. Money is the root of all evil, and there are some wicked heartless bastards about who have no conscious decency or compassion for others, but will ride roughshod over anyone purely for financial gain. Well i say Hell mend them. A brand new chapter in your life now awaits you and I wish you both nothing but the best for the future. You will look back at this juncture as a blessing in disguise. Please keep up with the videos.
I also believe that things happen for a reason. Better it happen when your in your prime as you will turn this round and definitely have a more secure future. All the best x
So sad that you have been treated so badly. I'm quite new to the fieldsports world as a beater with my dog & I have drawn great inspiration from watching your films. I wish you both every success for your exciting future
The reason I became a photographer and not go into farming is because the way my late Dad was treated by a former boss. All of my youth was sent living in tied house and never knowing how long you would be there. I now have my own house, my own twelve dog kennel set up and after covid and a resent health scare for me I am determined to do as many days picking up as I can. I does leave a bitter taste in your mouth, but as one door closes another opens. I am sure you will do well with your kennel and training business and I hope Chris finds happiness in what ever he ends up doing. I have been freelance for over forty years now, photographing agriculture and spending as much time as I can training and working my dogs no day is the same. Keep the videos coming, yes please to a kennel tour video, would be good the see your new setup. I think you have bench mark kennels, I have just bought a bock of five second hand to go along side my Mitton hall ones.
A Very Very sad series of events, one thing I will say is I have found everthing happens in life for a reason... this 'new' episode in your lives sounds so exciting, and much more grounded in terms of not allowing some outside influence to steal your dreams. Thank you for sharing. Good Luck in whatever you both do. 🙏🙏
Good luck with your new venture it is unfortunate that has happened I have been trying for a few years to get into the industry but no one seems to help and think about there selfs
@@GrahamKeane no not at all, I think she’s just soft in nature and not learnt to deal with any formalities, expectations or pressure and has to learn to overcome this. I get a lot of clients that are similar to be honest. Thankyou! I think she has so much potential:)
This video popped up right in the middle of yet another of my little quit-software-engineering-and-become-a-dog-trainer crises lololol send halp If only I was half competent as a trainer... Everything you explained from 10:15 onwards was super interesting and makes me wonder if I'm applying too much pressure to our little lab. I had no idea rabbits were so destructive with so many different plants, I assumed they only ate veg etc 😆 Great video! :-)
Thankyou! If it’s something that you’d love to do, keep going!! 😃 The thing with dog training is experience, there’s no qualification (well there is… but in my opinion it’s pointless in this game!) so definitely keep progressing and learning and who knows! Yes me neither! Theyre annoying me so much 😂
