Stop holding that extra vibrato note at the end of every phrase. It's a kind of blues tic, as though it's the climax of each phrase. Seriously - this is meant as constructive criticism. At least give it a try.
Jimmy Page, David Gilmour, B.B. King, Jeff Beck, Joe Perry....a lot of people, I take influence from a lot of music though, some of it not necessarily guitar based, I like the sound of jazz and blues saxophonists and sometimes try to incorporate that kind of flexible, liquid sound into the way I play
@@bluesman75 oh I just get them off RU-vid lately. I was making my own for awhile and doing my own compositions, and sooner or later I'll be getting back to writing my own stuff but I've just been jamming around for awhile. Thank you!
@@bluesman75 here's an example of working from my own backing track, kinda didn't work, can't compose my way out of a paper bag ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lik6y9vlKZw.htmlsi=HRaw8UUZr83vnO0m
@@bluesman75 I've heard OF him but I've never actually heard his work. That is so odd, you're the second person today to mention Roy Buchanan, I've definitely gotta check him out now
@@floydharper1216 he played a Telecaster . He was a blues and rock Master ! Look up Austin City Limits Roy Buchanan. It’s 1974 or 75. He was an Amazing player!
You remind me a lot like Roy Buchanan. I went to Connecticut and there's a statue of him. In fact the guy who taught me how to play guita has a guitar store there.
@@August-f4m oh right on. Thats really cool. I've heard the name Roy Buchanan but it shames me to say I've never actually heard him play, I'll have to look him up now
@@floydharper1216 hey guy on my phone I get your recent stuff but I went on my TV and you're playing custard pie, dude you like a helluva guitar player.
Well thank you, I'm working hard on getting better. I feel like I've got a long way to go. I definitely appreciate the compliment, means a lot, thank you again
