To help you understand, the 2012 logo is inspired by 80s pop culture in the UK which was energetic, bright and youthful which is also the case with the Olympics, and considering the slogan was to “Inspire a Generation”, it makes sense, the IOC should have a better explanation

It’s a crime you skipped the Tokyo 1964 and Mexico 1968 logos which are almost universally considered two of the absolute best logos ever. The Mexico one especially was so iconic that it was repackaged and remixed for the Mexico 1970 & 1986 World Cups.
I'm coming from the future to say that the Paris logo is exactly what it is: a girl with moustache lol After "girls" with moustaches in the opening, there's no doubt lol If we look at Rio's logo you can see the Sugarloaf and the word Rio written.
This is my first time seeing this ygr, and I have to say I really like it! It just feels like you're connecting with the people who submitted and following their vision while improving it instead of pivoting to your own ideas. I also like that you are teaching the methods you use to make improvements, like the Kingstone for kerning etc. Very cool!
I went to the YGR playlist and the lasy video there was 4 years ago and i was sad, thinking you stopped this glorious series. 😢 Thank you for reviving it.
thank you for making a point to teach shortcuts - not enough tutorials do that and i feel it's one of the more important things to keep an efficient workflow...i literally change shortcuts for my workflow.
