Toronto is my hometown and personally a lot of people who live in Toronto. Think that the city is more like NYC but personally, I think Toronto is more like Chicago and they've been called sister city since 1991 Toronto is like the Chicago of Canada and I'm not exactly surprised that Toronto is building more skyscrapers than Chicago because Toronto is actually growing more than Chicago
My dear Dubai have lots of super tall buildings, it’s in the Midle east.. desert... What do you think the soil is? Sandy for sure. New York also has beaches. 2024 …there is lot of technology to build foundation on the most varied types of soil . The engineer who worked in Burj Khalifa the actual tallest building in the world, will work in this project of Senna Tower!
The US Pavillion looks kinda bland tbh. That one shot 4:50 looks like the inside of an office building. Sorry to be negative, but the rest of them look great.
End station... dead end: how Rail Baltica turned into one big scandal 27.12.2023 Here is bad luck: no matter how large a project using euro funds starts in our country, two textbook questions soon arise in the context of the implementation of this project: who is to blame and what to do? It is precisely such questions that torment the entire government of Evika Silini today - of course, we are talking about the project of the century Rail Baltica, the project is not just stalling, but is stuck in some deep swamp, and it is generally unclear when the new railway track will eventually be launched, designed to connect us by rail with Western Europe, or whether it will be possible connect Rail Baltica with Riga at the first stage! Incredibly, but a fact: 8 years after the start of this project of the century, there is a risk that at the initial stage an express train on a narrow European highway will not enter the Latvian capital at all! And who is responsible for the project? But this is by no means the only and not the main problem in the implementation of the project. "We tried to establish who exactly is responsible for the implementation of this project? Who's in charge? It turned out that there is no such person! "- lamented on the air of Janis Domburs 'program" Kas notiek Latvijā?"on LTV-1, Finance Minister Arvils Asheradens. There is no one in charge, and over the years a couple of dozen members of the RB Rail Management Board have already been replaced, which provides overall project management. That is, those responsible will not be found! Is it any wonder that in three years the design of Rail Baltica on Latvian territory, which was carried out, in accordance with the winning tender, by a Spanish company, was never completed? The Spaniards do not admit their guilt in such a delay, because you can not design without knowing exactly where the railway will pass! Of the more than 1,000 plots of land that the state needs to buy for the construction of the highway, only about 200 plots have been purchased! Where can I get the money? The saddest thing is that the cost of implementing the project has increased exponentially. If initially the amount of 5.7 billion euros was called, today we are already talking about 10-12 billion. However, now both the current minister Kaspars Briskens and his predecessors admit that it was initially clear that in the end the project would cost more than planned. This is all interesting, of course, but the question is: where exactly to get extra money? At the last meeting of the Latvian government this year, it was decided to give the green light to the signing by the Ministry of Communications of an agreement with the winner of the tender for the construction of the main route Rail Baltica in the amount of 3.7 billion euros. Some of the money will come from the EU budget, but Latvia will also have to co-finance this construction project. However, there is no money in the treasury to increase the cost of other parts of the project and it is not expected. Apparently, you can't do without new loans! It is very difficult to accurately judge the real situation with the implementation of the project, since all information is classified. By the way, there is a high probability that the Seimas opposition may set up a parliamentary commission of inquiry on Rail Baltica! If initially the railway was supposed to be put into operation in 2028, now the earliest date that those responsible for the project are talking about is 2030. Minister Briskens has already hastened to say that he will not allow the first stage of the railway to pass the mima of Riga: that is, the train will have to stop at least at the Central Station, and in the best case-even near the Riga airport, in order to connect two transport hubs: railway and passenger. Doomed to losses It should be noted that so far we are talking exclusively about the construction and commissioning of a new railway track with a length of 870 kilometers (across the territory of the three Baltic states). It is still unknown how much money from the state budget will be required as subsidies for the high-speed train itself. After all, it is clear that these passenger services - at least for the first 7-10 years-will not be profitable. Skeptics, however, argue that they will never be profitable. Instead of Riga… Salaspils? However, let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. First, in the context of construction, we need to solve four main problems. The first task is to bring order to the management of this project by stopping the personnel leapfrog in the management board and identifying specific people responsible for the project itself. The second problem is to complete the design of the railway route through Latvia. The third task is to resolve the issue of sources of financing for the project's price increase. The fourth is to ensure that the tracks pass through Riga, and not, as one of the options suggests, when Latvian passengers will have to try to "intercept" the train in Salaspils or Skulta. This is ... a disaster! In general, the very implementation of the project leaves a very bitter aftertaste. Or even, as one MEP remarked, " everything related to Rail Baltica in Latvia can be described as a disaster!" Probably, those who say that it would be better if this huge amount of money were spent on creating a high-speed highway are right. This would be a much more efficient investment, especially considering that today you can easily and relatively cheaply reach any EU country by plane - this does not require a super-expensive railway connection. Meanwhile, recently it became known that the state auditors of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia have joined forces to conduct a joint comprehensive audit of the project of the century. Apparently, in the context of Rail Baltica, we are waiting for new, amazing discoveries!
After watching this video, then listen to the discussions on Latvian radio and TV.There is a scandal on a scandal and funding is being cut. There will be no tunnel to Finland.
Im excited to take the train journey and anyway what are you talking about the Ambintalist they’re fake they are getting paid by the corrupt politicians parties of the prian
Man, just seeing this should spark a memory of the experiences I was going through when this particular U.S. Presidential figure was elected into the scene...which was when I attended college at the alma mater that I currently reside 2.5 miles away from as of now!
Tbh, I live here and it's not a ghost city. There's tons of shops and restaurants. True, part of the houses are empty but when you go to the beach in the evening, the bar is packed. It's not too bad
