This doesn’t get as cold as I’d like it to in comparison to the pads that I got off Amazon. As for ice, I freeze 2lb blocks of ice (molds)x 6 and break it down which is convenient…just sucks that this doesn’t get super cold.
It's so helpful to watch a video to learn how to use these wraps! Ice/compression eases pain if you can figure out how to use the machine. On this video, I wish they showed how the straps work in front.
A nice video, thanks! I saw that you filled the cuff with water before fixing the cuff to the knee. Can it be done the other way around - fix to knee and then fill? Thanks!
@@rogerparker3422 you really need to make sure the cuff is primed. So if you attach first and turn on I would make sure cuff is well below machine. We think it’s easier to do it while it’s off. Thank you heal up if you are having surgery.
While hot moisture is good for some situations, muscle pain responds well to COLD. Not for a long time, because cold can damage skin and blood circulation, but for short periods it DOES WONDERS! I would recommend cold therapy to others and advise them to watch your video. Also, prior to exercise, putting cold on my back allows me to actually move without pain so I can do the exercises that I know will help my range of motion. Otherwise, I unconsciously stiffen up and am unable to move or relax in any way. Thank you for this video!
Having shoulder surgery in August and this helps a lot. Especially with the sizing and the info about the ice bags. Wasn't informed of this during my girlfriend's hip surgery nor my knee replacement surgery.
We're glad to hear that this information was helpful! If you have any questions or need assistance with ordering in the future, give us a call at 704-953-2545 or visit us at mycoldtherapy.com
@@SlavcoYanicic Here is the link to all our shoulder videos. ru-vid.com/group/PLy-GAZT4U7w0zADOcMWUk9jNNNDoyQH-m&si=hJhAdmjcLU2OB4Ww We do show how to use shoulder pad. Thank you
Can you explain the size difference between the Shoulder Pad and the Shoulder Pad XL? Why does measuring the chest circumference make a difference as to which one to get? Are the straps longer? I know the actual pads are a different size. You show how to apply and to measure, but do not show the difference in your video. It would help to visualize the difference on two different individuals
@@MyColdTherapy isn't the XL pad larger than the regular pad? Or is it just that the straps are longer. I thought the XL actually measures bigger than the regular pad. Also the sterile dressing pad is different for the XL 10650 than the regular 10630
My wife needs a large pad. We are thinking of ordering the XL with extended hose. Is it supposed to fit all the way around her knee and leg, with each end touching the other, or just mainly on the knee and sides? thank you
@@davidgrisanti7716 Hi the pads are not made to go all the way around. Most patients will ice 20 minutes in the front and then move it to back and do 20 minutes. I hope that helps!
Hi thank you for reaching out. We did a whole video series on applications. Here is the link ru-vid.com/group/PLy-GAZT4U7w28agfjAyhvk8AKBs_j11G0&si=y4dMCR4-O8-xNKlq Thank you and good luck!
This works good but the design really could be much better if the black hose ran down the arm and not across the back of the neck which is very uncomfortable.
To remove the back support panel from the Aspen Horizon 637 back brace, undo the Velcro straps on the sides and top of the panel, then gently pull the panel away from the brace. If you encounter resistance, check for additional fasteners and remove them as needed.
This is a fantastic machine and I have one but they need to redesign these machines with a lordosis block so that the device pulls you into lordosis and not kyphosis. I made a block out of a piece of foam roller and attached it between the adjusters that contact the skull. Its brilliant now.
When you say the universal rule of thumb is 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off, do I need to unstrap and remove the compression pad every 20 minutes or can i leave the compression pad on my leg and just turn the pump off every 20 minutes?
You should use distinctly different words for the compression pad and the sterile pad. If you call both of them pad, its hard to know which one you are talking about at any given time.
We are sorry it’s confusing. Most of the time we are referring to the cold therapy pad. The sterile pad or dressing is what’s used to protect your skin from frost bite or burns. Thank you and good luck healing up if you had surgery.
I just decided to shave my head and beard lol. Easier to take care of while recovering. Washing long hair and a beard is already hard with my shoulder how it is now before the surgery lol. Thankfully my mom has agreed yo help with my kids while im healing before i go back to work.@@MyColdTherapy
@@marthacheyne-ramirez9358 there is a video for the sterile pad. You should give us a call in am 704-953-2545. You can get some great help. More than I can provide here.
