Video title is wrong. There re no currently available line mount for X4. X3 and X4 have different sizes so the one on video will not work for X4. Please fix it
when walking about the islands theres rocks in some area's, its more comfotable with shoes on. I sometimes take them off when I'm kiting, but often i forget about them and just keep on kiting!
@DrOppeppertje I'm in the UK so just across the water from you, we do the same normally just winter 🤘 come join us in Egypt in November. It's great fun
Thanks for sharing. I was already a bid skeptical about this mount for all the parts sticking out. How far from the bar do you install the mount? It looks pretty close to you. Did you see any issue when doing rotations or looping the kite?
They recommend it to be installed close to the release. I installed mine in different positions (from 5 inches from the splitter to up to the 5 ft). Lots of issues with loops/rotations. Every other loop one of the steering lines gets stuck over the sticking out parts. This mount is pretty dangerous to use. Hope they attend it when building one for X4
the x4 design footprint is bigger than the x3, and as the kite mount sits flush I dont envisage the x4 fitting in an x3 mount. Ive had the x3 kite mount in light use however and not faced issues, ill check if mine has smooth edges, instructions does say on 4 line kites incompatibility due to safety lines however
Hmm, yeah that does appear to be a design flaw. I wonder if it’s made worse because of Duotone’s high Y split. I would imagine that the line comes out the top at a sharper angle than on a low V setup. Nonetheless, Insta360 should absolutely be curving the edges of the holes. Actually, there shouldn’t be any sharp edges just in case there is a kitemare. Maybe you can smooth out the hole edge with a dremel with conical bit.
Yes they should be super smooth edges everywhere to go on kite lines being a kitesurf specific mount. I'm speaking with them now. Hopefully they'll get it sorted!
Oh you think bigger is better? You need a 15m kite to prove you're a man! You can't beat my 1.2 meter kite! Size don't matter buddy! I get all the girls!
Will I'm married so especially if my wife is reading this I am definitely not trying to get all the girls I will leave all the girls for you and stick on my 15 m 😄
@@DavidUrsell I do have a legit question tho. I just have a peter lynn training kite for hobby flying. But considering how much a 1.2 meter can pull with a bit of wind, I'm actually scared ass hell to even try a 15m. That sounds crazy to me! I am planning on getting a 2.5m but 15? Dude that shit will send you to space! At what wind speeds can you fly a wing like that?
You definitely want to be very confident flying in chi and experience to fly a 15 m even in good winds a 2.5 m will pull you a lot also when you talk about your 2.5 m as it is a ram air kite and not an lei it will have more power for its size whereas the water kites are curved and have a smaller lifting area they are also heavier due to the inflated sections which means they produce less power of per size so when you are talking about a land kite a 2.5 m is a good size a 6 to 8 m is about the maximum fixed power foil you would want to go for when you go for lei kites however we can go up to 20 m without a problem and also these kites have a lot of d power on the control system so you can release a lot of the power which makes them very comfortable however you do need to make sure you have lessons if you wanted to use large deep power kites as there is a loss of power and you could break yourself very easily
@@DavidUrsell That was a really really really really really long sentence. But I think I got what you mean. So what you're saying is that my kite is stronger then yours! Ha! No just kidding. Thanks i wasn't actually aware there was such a difference between the two types. I knew you had more control with 4 lines etc. You think you could kite on water with a 4 meter foil? Ram air as you call it.
Welcome to the cappuccino coast to my friend whenever it's his stormy in Essex the watercolour is always very very Sandy but it's relatively clean water it's just very Sandy and silty although in the summertime occasionally we get clear water when there is no wind
Well I did. But now that's maybe over.. Crashed my knee. 3 ligaments ruptured Meniskus too. 4 hours surgery.. And.. After two weeks. Thickened blood a thrombus a big one floatet up to my lounge and I nearly died. Soo. Not sure ill go out with twin tips and kiteloop anymore.. Still the best sport ever
@@DavidUrsell thank you David love your videos. Well I am 55 and so have to pay more attention.I'll fight to get back at least to an extend. If even I can do moderate sport it'll maybe be strapless Directional in the smal fehmarn waves at dawn or smooth. Summer wind lowind fun like this. Hope for it.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PspBhGCGyP0.htmlsi=i909jNdErUd2gUve
I like to start do this. I was started fly on paramotor only in uk is a lots raining days and I am worry about my paramotor wing. This ride and fly is like nice paramotor cover 😎
Hi Dude, this is the Team series by Duotone, you can get them new from Fluid lines in Colchester or you can have my one if you email us at pushkiting.co.uk
I agree, as Kitelandboarding is way different than any other extreme sport I have done. It's more intresting to me than skydiving, as you keep moving for hrs, verses 5mins or so of free fall too a landing. Kitelandboarding is so much fun, and my biggest addiction now, after I learned how. I just have to practice my landings more now with it. I notice too there are less of us that do this sport, so it makes us ranked at top in kiting type sport at the extremes we do it at. Great short video😃🧚♂️🦅🪂👍👍👍❤❣️
