Tom Wagner has not the slightest intention of building a 60000 seat stadium sports quarter on that piece of land. He has made the majority of his money from real estate investments and knowing that that piece of land is within 100m of the HST hub into Europe for all passengers and freight for the whole of the North of the UK only a fool would build something that he would have to continually invest in and gamble on any returns. Do the maths a couple of thousand apartments hotels shopping and leisure complex’s would generate profits of well over 750 million in just sales alone not a bad return for 48 million and that’s without even touching the European freight warehouses and logistics side of it. The man has hardly mentioned the rebuilding of a team that will be in 4 weeks thread bare when the contracts run out on half the squad no matter how bad some where and at one point of the season sixth in the league.
