@@MarylandJeetKuneDo let’s look at the facts according to the founder, Jkd is about simplicity, directness and economy comprised of boxing fencing and wing chun (which he removed wing chun from the mid sixties to 1970) using the closest weapon to nearest target which are the eyes, groin and knee on down, not thigh. He described jkd in 1969 as "efficient street fighting with everything goes"
@SuperMaryu767 You've never actually learned Jeet Kune Do, have you? Just read books and watched RU-vid videos. The rear leg ngautek is a staple of Jeet Kune Do. Bruce used it. Bruce taught it. Bruce wrote about it.
@@MarylandJeetKuneDo then Bruce contradicted himself then, the rear leg is not direct, simple or economical then the front leg which he taught, wrote and used. It’s easy to learn from someone and take it as gospel truth without researching yourself the truth on what Bruce was getting at, it’s not about putting together techniques you like and call it something it isn’t. The rear leg he used if the rear leg is closer or you miss with the front leg.
@SuperMaryu767 Yeah, you don't know anything about Jeet Kune Do and have never practiced it. You took a couple lines from a book and think you have understanding. Bruce Lee used the rear ngautek. This I'd a fact. We have film of him practicing it, we have film of him teaching it. Bruce Lee researched the rear ngautek. We have his notes. Bruce Lee taught the rear ngautek. The drill in this video was actually created and taught by Bruce Lee. So, by all means, continue being ignorant to the truth.

one of the purposes of that drill (pendulum drill,) is to be right at the end of the attacker's kick, so it barely touches you and you can return fire. That would be something good to work on.
Do you offer any strictly fma at your school? I trained Bakbakan in lodi nj, and would love to practice again with others. I also trained jkd in Princeton nj for a minute, so do appreciate it as an art....love that straight blast. Thank u for any information regarding this.
🤣😂😏This is RU-vid. Take your cursor and place it over the Search Box. Type in "UFC eye poke". The first video that comes up might even be one entitled "Horrendous Eye Pokes That Lead to Fight Stoppages". Next question?
@@MarylandJeetKuneDo How’s that a sign that I can’t fight? The places I’ve trained at have NEVER done any of this dorky looking sh*t. Bullshido gyms are being exposed around the world. This isn’t a good look for your gym, buddy.
That first girl needs to use her arms for protection...not her hands. Id punch right thru those hands and she would just be hitting herself. The arm provides padded protection and space
It always cracks me up, the people willing to trash without any understanding whatsoever. I spent a great deal of time studying this movement in another 2 systems, and all these things they are saying holds absolutely no weight when you have this particular understanding. That being said, I see a lot of people trying to train this movement with no understanding of what they are doing, and man it shows. But you and your crew are doing amazing!! Happy to see it!!
This works againt a wild punching opponent. Block and it could save you While returning the favor. People say weak against a uppercut but the opponent Is a wild swinging kind of opponent.
