These Sansui SP-L700 are some of the nicest sounding speakers I’ve heard. These are rarely found stateside and I lucked into these in late 2018 sold them and regretted every minute that I did so when the chance came to buy them back I didn’t hesitate they are worthy speakers

The innards of that Spectral DMC-6 show the results of electronic quality standards established because a single defective resistor, bad solder connection or capacitor going bad could turn the expense of launching a huge rocket and putting an expensive satellite into geosynchronous orbit into a wate of money. Most consumer electronics are made well enough that Best Buy and Costco aren't troubled by having to refund or replace too many of them as defective. This is a much higher grade of design, bits and pieces, construction quality and performance.
I first heard these Ohm H systems while speaker shopping in 1978 at Tech Hifi in NYC. I wanted them but lacked the $700+ per pair required to own them. I bought the model L's instead and still use them as living room speakers. A few years back in 2019, as luck would have it, I got a restored (with Ohm drivers) pair of model H's. These were the early 1980's version with two tweeter controls and spring loaded connectors. I paid $275 for the pair. A freakin' steal and they sound boss in my 1,700+ cu/ft dining room. I only had to wait forty one years to get my Ohm H's. Nice video of some swell speakers.
So very rare back in the day , Fried was a real audio pioneer , kinda museum stuff , mind you bass drives look wrong , should the better type of kef b200 drivers. :
So the midrange driver is UK, Dalesford England Feroba II D153 6.5” I’m not sure of the woofers I do believe they are original the rubber surrounds have perished so will redo those with rubber of equivalent thickness to try to match originals. There are no real mfg.name for those although there is a number, stamped baskets. I think that should be a good start. These sound fantastic. Also woofers are 12” so pretty sure the b200 being 8” would not have been. It does seem he favored UK drivers. Tweeters are danish I believe
It's funny but a turntable (TT) like this Technics SL-D2 direct drive, semi-auto makes it hard to justify spendin' big bucks on new "modern" TT's. A friend in 1981 had this SL-D2 TT with a Kenwood KA-7100 amp and Large Advent speakers and that system sounded boss. Don't overlook vintage TT's from late 1970's as their quality was extremely good. I have a Pioneer PL-518 (with Shure M95HE pickup) that I bought in 1979 and it's still going strong with no issues. Rumble is 73dB's and W/F 0.03%, great specs even by today's standards. Nice video.
I have a pair of these as well as the DCM TF 350's (I recently re-foamed them & put new socks on). They're both incredibly warm sounding speakers...only difference is that the 600s are louder & have a deeper sounding bass. Both pairs are keepers!

its my understanding that you are suppose to put the speaker logos to the outside to correctly have them sync'd in other words they need to be switched right/ left so the logos on the right is the right speaker and logo on the left is the left speaker
