Totally disagree! The longer the bar is.., the milder the "kick back" IF they should occur! (the tip of the bar has a much longer way to go) and the risk of it hitting you is significantly minimized

@@ManojTamang-es9ji when was the last time you cleaned out the bar groove? How clean is the sprocket cover? If those are clean, then turn your oiler up by tapping in the stop pin. Turn your saw upside down and where you adjust the oiler there is a little pin you can tap in so when you can max out your oiler. I'll try to attach pic from your manual. And I will do a vidja on how to turn up your oiler too

@charleswinters7129
@charleswinters7129 11 месяцев назад
Decibels are not measured on a linear scale. 10 dB difference is a lot more louder. Their is also different scales of dB. But if your getting 124 dB of sound wearing a 19 dB hearing protection device long term your chances of hearing loss is very good. Some people can work with a lot of noise and not lose a great ability to hear. Other may suffer a much larger hearing loss and much quicker. I raced two stroke motorcycles for years and I usually am running a pro saw most weekends. I use the Stihl’s pro headset that has a 29 dB cut. I find it more comfortable. Pro level saws are loud. My Honda CR 500 I use to race made less noise. They had bigger mufflers with sound reading material inside. Sometimes they ran sound tests that you had to pass. Increasing the compression ratio of and engine will also increase the sound. Chain saw engine are still simple low power engines for there size. They have 60 CC engines that kids race putting out over 25 horse power today. They have variable exhaust ports and reed induction. Plus a expansion chamber exhaust. It just how powerful do they want to make them.

@johncourt4163
@johncourt4163 Год назад
From my past experience in car audio... 3 db is 2x as loud in sound pressure reading.
@rockyroad5035
@rockyroad5035 Год назад
The decibel scale is a log scale. Every 10db in increase in measured sound level is a doubling of perceived noise. It is WAY louder.
@Rhodesian_FAL
@Rhodesian_FAL Год назад
@@djc84 Decibels are measured on the logarithmic scale and compound at an exponential rate. An 8 decibel increase is 80% louder than the stock muffler.

All my saws have a straight shot and my 400 is by far the loudest with it idk why. 500i isnt bad with it 661 isnt bad 461 isnt bad 362 not bad but my 400 is loud.
