Todd Joseph is the all time worst owner of a park. You thought Amanda Thompson was bad for destroying 1 of 4 wooden Wild Mice? Let me introduce you to Todd Joseph, an arsonist who destroyed 1 of 2 remaining Edward Vettal designed coasters at the time he destroyed it. And he also destroyed 1 of 2 operational Tumble Bugs to top it off. Glad I got on Blue Streak and there are a lot of explatives I'd like to say about Mr Joseph but I won't to keep your channel family friendly.
Rode it at the park’s Park After Dark event in 2019. It was a hot summer night after being run all day with full trains. In the pitch black. In the second to last row (non wheel seat) it was Elite. The last row it was a Washing-Machine-Simulator and basically unbearable.
Remember I went to Coney Island, NY and put my hands up in the back row for the first drop. I'd never been on a coaster with a buzz bar before. Thought I was gonna get ejected xD
Darien Lake's Ride of Steel is an airtime machine, so I don't know what you are talking about. I had like no expectations for it, and it is a top 10 on my list.
As someone who hasn't gotten in that many coasters for me the biggest example of all bark is Tron Lightcycle in Disney's Magic Kingdom. Maybe if the wait wasn't almost 3 hours, or if the seats were more comfortable for me personally but Disney made this giant building with this huge ramp to get onto it only for the ride inside to be shorter and worse than Space Mountain right next door. Extra disappointing considering Space Mountain is literally the oldest coaster in Florida (according to Wikipedia).
There's only been one rollercoaster to date that's actually injured me: Screamin' Eagle at Six Flags St. Louis. I got bruised pretty bad after my one (and only) ride on it
I credit that ride and the original steel phantom as the reason I have a high tolerance for rough coasters. The Blue streak was always a guaranteed marathon for the last hour or two of operation every time I visited that park.
Shockwave @ Six Flags Great America is the only coaster that actually broke me. I was 10 yrs old, it was my first looping coaster. I got whiplash so bad it knocked the wind out of me, when we pulled into the station, I crawled off the train...
My record for most rides on a roller coaster in one day is 65! On this!!! I have a 5 year old cousin and she is pretty tall for a 5 year old and was tall enough for other 48 inch stuff, but I don’t blame the worker cause you could tell he was slanting the height bar up when we were in the station because it’s a little much for a 5 year old😅
When I rode Son of Beast they pushed the lap bar down where it was situated on my hip bones. Toward the end of the ride I thought my pelvis was broken. That was the first time a roller coaster frightened me. ( I was a goof and rode it again, not the same day, but the next season. I loved that first drop and the loop, so I put up with the rest of the ride).😳
I waited an hour on a Sunday in 2019 for the back row. It was $5 per person to get into the park. It was extremely janky but it didn't hurt. Also the freaking seat smacked me in the butt during the 3 main drops! The ejector was that good!
I rode that when they had the halloween "ghost lake" going on and basically ypu just ride it in the dark and they had a few lights throughout but it was way worst in the dark not being able to see whats coming lol
American Eagle and Raging Bull in the first few rows are mild, but especially American Eagle, at least raging bull pulls good positives at the valley of its first drop
Be happy you got to ride it. What the owner did was a disgrace. I HATE developers. He also broke the lawn with zero cincequence. Started the fire because they were going to halt its demolition.
Todd Joseph is the John Fisher of theme park operators, and every explative Oakland fans have said about Fisher is something I'd say about Joseph. Or to be more literal in my metaphor, should I say he's "the Fred Trump of the 2020s" to compare the destruction of Conneaut Lake Park to the destruction of Steeplechase Park at Coney Island (which was much slower than most realise, there were relocated reminants of it until the mid-2000s with the historic "Steeplechase" coaster having been long gone when Thor Equities struck the final blow of independant parks there. Speaking of Thor Equities which owns the Luna Park land except the Cyclone, Luna has an expiration date and everything except the Cyclone is set to be destroyed before 2030 to build a casino so get there while you can).
it was a historical landmark so it couldn't be torn down by the shitty landowner that either wants to or already has turned the park into housing, so he lit it on fire and that somehow justified it being torn down
I made the mistake of doing back to back rides on The Grand National at BPB last year. I got over confident after the first ride and sat at the back- i paid dearly for it.
Goliath and Superman EFK at the 1&2 spots right where they belong. IMO they should do what they did with the Hulk coaster and Nemesis, but instead of reinstalling the track they should just…………….. crush it……... Or burn it in a field…………. Or blast it into space…………..… then put better coasters in those spots. Yea…….🥹
Many coaster enthusiasts hated the now defunct Ultimate at Light water Valley in The UK. Typically those riders had only been on it in the past decade but I rode it in the 90s and back then it was phenomenal, best experience in a coaster for me
Mako @ sea world was a disappointment..Tall first drop yet no butterflies in your stomach..No airtime whatsoever..On a positive note it is super smooth..Perhaps that's why it didn't deliver..way way to smooth..
I haven’t injured myself on a rollercoaster (unless the occasional headache counts), but there was an experience that made me not ride any coasters for a year. I was at Busch Gardens Tampa, on Tigris when it first came out. The shoulder guards were super flimsy and I didn’t really want to ride but my parents forced me. I was on an upside down part, when I look at my restraints and (there’s a chance this wasn’t true and I was being paranoid, but this is what I saw and still feel like I saw) see them halfway down my arms. So I push myself up and hold myself up for the entire upside down time (it was super slow and felt even longer cause I was stressed). I didn’t ride roller coasters for a year after that. It was really bad timing cause that was actually the year we had a trip planned where we went to 3 theme parks
I've had really smooth rides on Racer at Kings Island. Sometimes older woodies can be smooth on a good day... then there's Blue Streak at Cedar Point...😬
I once hit my kneecap really hard into the seat in front of me on Falken at Fårup Sommerland in the back row. At first, I thought I was fine, but after a few days, I had trouble walking without pain. Turns out I got a bone bruise that ended up taking a month and a half to heal. It ruined a trip to Spain for me. So I'll never ride it in that row again. Still absolutely love it in the front tho 😂
Damm I heard many people say stuff about blue streak sad but at the same time happy I didn’t ride it I had that break in half experience many times mostly on old wooden rides but not how yours was
