REACH...LEARN...GROW... Head of Physics in a secondary school with 24 years teaching experience. Channel created to help students studying Physics to increase their knowledge. Everyone should understand physics to help create a better future.
RU-vid is a fantastic resource for learning. Unlike your real lessons, you can pause these lessons. Rewind them. Listen to them as often as you need until you understand.
Take responsibility for your personal development. Improve you...Improve your world.
I’ve found most people like it. I usually teach with a bit of music on in the background as studies show relaxing music can improve learning and that’s what I’ve found over the last 25 years.
I just want to say how thankful I have been for all these videos- especially this one! the six marker that came up today was exactly what was in this video, no one else on RU-vid had made practicals so easy to follow and it's a mystery as to how you don't have more subscribers
Thanks for your kind comment. RU-vid’s algorithm is a mystery to me too 🤷♂️ Glad my videos reached you and helped you. Good luck when you get your results. Enjoy your well earned break and all the very best for your future 👍🏻
@talkischeapmma174 yes. And all the videos in that playlist with a green thumbnail are questions taken from triple past papers. Units SP8-15 are paper 2 here’s one ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HU8YG6Y2b9Y.htmlsi=48dgce_c38eRJCEu
Thank you for your kind comment, and my pleasure. Glad my videos have helped you. Comment if there’s a physics question you want answered and I’ll do my best to help. Good luck in your exams. 👍🏻🤞🏻
I’d recommend going through this video and trying to identify all the units for each element of each equation. Search up the units you don’t know and try to remember them Also, i noticed the equations for SHC and SLH weren’t on this video. SHC - J/Kg*C and SLH - J
Good advice. I’ve got a more up to date equations video that turns into a poster if you screen shot it then it’s on your phone to revise from. In summer 2024 students are being given all the equations again so that should help. Make sure you can rearrange them though because that happened a lot this year on paper 1. Good luck 🤞🏻
@@GCSEPhysicsExplained That’s brilliant to know! Personally, rearranging them isn’t hard at all because I’m getting high 8s / 9s on maths, but I can see why it’d be a good for thing for some to learn. I felt I did really well on my physics paper 1 - the most equations are featured on that paper, so having the equation sheet REALLY made life easier
There was about 24 marks from calculations on paper 1, so if you’ve nailed them that gets you off to a great start. I always advise my students to base their “explanations on calculations” as well. Most of my students from set 1 were nailing level 8’s and 9’s in our past paper preparations using this technique. Well done and good luck for paper 2 👏🏻
@@GCSEPhysicsExplained oh yes i fully agree with this. I find that pressure and car breaking/stopping distance + car safety measure questions especially benefit from referring to calculations in answers. It’s surprising there were so many marks for calculations! Thanks!
Here’s a good explanation of static electricity that would get you up to 6 marks: 1-when two insulators, 2- are rubbed together, 3-friction, 4-causes electrons to be transferred. 5-the object that gains electrons becomes negatively charged, 6-the object that loses electrons becomes positively charged. 👍🏻 good luck in your exams. Mr O
Thanks for your feedback. Yes, you should be able to get a copy off physics and maths tutor or any other site like that. Good luck in your exams. Drop a comment if you need any help 👍🏻
Hi. Hope the video helped you understand radioactivity more. Feel free to ask any questions if there was something in the video you need further help with 👍🏻
It’s best to understand the topic, but as we get closer to the GCSE’s it’s very important to learn how to answer typical questions you’ll get asked. Traditionally, lots of questions come up on exams about Motion and forces so I’d say watch and try as many past paper questions as you can (on all topics). Evidence shows that doing past papers and watching walkthroughs has a bigger impact than just making notes as you get close to exams. Hope that helps. Feel free to ask me questions
@@GCSEPhysicsExplained I'm just trying to pass and when I saw your channel I was so happy. We haven't got that long till gsces. We've finished the physics content but I don't really feel confident it so I'm just wondering would it be beneficial if I just binged watched your viedos on physics would it help improve my grades
@@GCSEPhysicsExplained also are you gonna go one of them viedos on everything you need to know to pass gsce physics 2024? cause that would be really helpful
Yes binging my videos, targeting your weaknesses will definitely help. Binge the videos in my “past papers” playlist. They will help a lot. That’s what I’m telling my students to do
Thank you. Kinetic energy is a tricky equation to memorise. In the summer exams in 2024 the students will be given a full list of equations so no need to memorise it this year 😀
My pleasure! I’ve designed this video to be like a poster. I encourage my students to take a screenshot on their phone at the end once all the life cycles are completed 😁
Students find this tricky because it’s always new. Like anything, if you practice, you get better. I’ve saw this explanation worth 3 marks a few times in exam papers, and the calculation worth 3 marks as well so make sure you watch more than once if you don’t quite get it the first time. 😀
I’ve tried to be as detailed as I can because there’s a lot going on here. I’ve used slow motion to show the particles coming out of the nucleus, but it’s also good to play the video on slower speed until you can definitely tell what’s happening. These are the kind of details required to achieve a level 9 💪🏻
Thank you so much. I really appreciate your time to write comments as it helps the channel reach a bigger audience to help more students. Feel free to ask any questions in the future and I’ll answer them. Let me know if there’s any videos you’d like me to make in the future to cover a certain topic and I’ll do my best to accommodate. Mr Obee ☺️
