Some Neverdull from WalMart will clean the rust off of your Cobras. I smear some on, wait a while. Then take them to the wire wheel. Then wipe on more Neverdull.

Why green
@zbplumbing647
@zbplumbing647 Год назад
This is the bag for my personal truck that I pull my excavator with and I run after hours service calls with and my helper kept mixing up tools between my truck and my service van so I went with green for this bag.

I'm jealous, that's a really nice set of tools. I buy 80% of my hand tools at the flea market for the simple fact that other trades love stealing shit
@IRoYaILTY
@IRoYaILTY Год назад
Yeah new construction sucks for that reason. Residential service typically you’re the only one on site which makes it easier to have nice things
@zbplumbing647
@zbplumbing647 Год назад
That is true. I do primarily residential service work so I don't have much of a problem with that.

Im new to Knipex . I must have spent $400 in the last 2 months on pliers I love every last one of them. The alligators I haven't tried yet. The twin grips are awesome the raptors are great. The plier wrenches are incredible as are the water pump Cobra pliers..
@zbplumbing647
@zbplumbing647 Год назад
Right on. I haven't used the raptors yet. I hear they're really good for super tight nuts and bolts though. What's your experience with the raptors?

My first Knipex pliers were 12" Cobras; soon after I bought a set of 3 Knipex Alligator pliers, 8"-10" & 12". -When using them I realized that the Alligator has better grip than the Cobra despite the fact that the jaws are almost identical in their design. -Although the Cobra have a mechanism with more than 20 adjustments and the Alligator are a less advanced design with only 9, I like the Alligator better and they are the ones I almost always use and the Cobra I almost never use because I don't feel them just as good at performing as the Alligator. -I have and have had this type of pliers in several brands and the Knipex Alligator and Cobra seem to me the best of all in manufacturing quality; ergonomics; performance and durability.

Never seen green Knipex tools. Those pliers have red handles here. Pretty versatile as you can adjust the jaws, and won't jump a step like some cheap no-name movable-jaw pliers would.

Cool Knipex pliers! I have and like Wiha pop-up, too. I'm trying to decide between veto pro and Mc, as a Union electrician. I wonder if I can see these in person, in the States, somewhere(?)

the veto site offers a "find a dealer near you" map, you just put in your city amd it find you retailers in a selected range

@rogal dorn I appreciate the response, but I didn't have much luck with that. Even when talking to their official whoever she was, she had trouble. She gave me phone numbers, and even the stores I called mostly didn't even know what I was talking about. I finally found one that had veto, but they didn't know which models. I went there, and they had, literally, 3 models, and no knowledge of how to get the other models.

Nice little setup! You use the stahlwille as your only wrench? I never could get used to plier wrenches, still carry an 8 and 6 inch adjustable and a few small dedicated wrenches haha

I still carry a couple of bahco adjustables in the van. But I just prefer the pliers wrench.

420's are great pliers I actually prefer them for mechanic work in the shop. And Douglas pliers are good too. I just prefer the knipex for plumbing most of the time.

Milwaukee is owned by the same company that also owns Ridgid and Ryobi power tools. They probably do have the most extensive lineup of tools out there. Not necessarily the highest quality, but a big variety.
