Awfully plodding and dragging along. If conductors don't comprehend what the instruction "Allegro" for the 1st movement means, they should go back to school again. In the Adagio movement , it even almost ends up up as "Largo Largissimo" or should one say "Depressivo Depressivissimo", neither of which is Adagio, nor Bruckner. Obviously he didn't understand Bruckner, nor what Bruckner wants. I came here because Hurwitz recommended this symphonies cycle, and I always use the the 7th as a first litmus test for a conductor's Bruckner mindset. But now, I'm not motivated to listen to any of his other symphony recordings.
See what wonders human beings can bring about when they cooperate. Of course, RU-vid would put an ad in the middle of this great performance, wouldn't they?! 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤡
