We use a piece of float glass with sandpaper. Start at around 400 grit on a blade that hasn't been sharpened in a while. Go to 800, 1200, 1500 2000 and 3000 grits. Then I strop on leather with a .5 micron paste. Like a mirror and cuts smooth as glass. Float glass is perfectly flat which you need to check your stones for, especially after a lot of use since they will start to hollow out. Above 600 grit I also use a little Trend lapping fluid.
Never heard of NevrDull? You must not get out of the house much. The military, car enthusiasts, gun nuts, hobbyists, detailers, and others have used it for more than 70 years.
I have seen lots of videos on how to sharpen clipper blades, this is the second worst ever done. You have no idea on how to sharpen a clipper blade. Please stop doing videos of your first time on something. There is people out there believing this is the right way to sharpen a clipper blade. Educate yourself first and then spread the knowledge.
Very informative, thank you. Do you know if the NevrDull is silicone free? Just curious about one other thing. You mentioned pitting, which is typically a loss of metal due to rust. Could what you mentioned as pitting actually have been stains since they were gone? Thank you.
Man, get organized, get ALL ur junk together on the table, 4:21min of ur ducking & diving in & out the frame & u cussing. & talking gangsta is boring & annoying, get some cooth drop the ghetto rap!

He said he is not a barber. He said it was his first time. If you just hate that he's a white then just fucking say it man. You ain't got nothing on this boy.
Smells like black licorice. excellent CLP. for guns but many many more items. Wood metal leather. Great for dogs paws and kills fleas and ticks. Anything that moves or slides can use Ballistol the history very interesting.
Don't let anyone tell you this is not the way. My dad who was also a barber used to sharpen his Oster blades, in the same fashion, only he did it on the slate sidewalk outside his shop in New York City.
Good informative video. Now I just have to get a sharpening stone like yours. I have one set of Wahl shavers for the husband and one for the itty bitty poodles. Mustn't mix them up.....but I do agree with you honey about all the effing and blinding - love the music tho'. Yours is one of several vids I have watched and is the best from a beginners point of view, which was great for me, but feck, sweetie the fecking swearing....
you should use a little oil on the stone it make the blade slide smoother and don't get over heat , good video man love your idea nice kit too thus up dude.
