In defense of ryobi and the same fellow who designed both the blue and the green systems. The ryobi tools both blue and green systems were designed by the same person,, the motors in the blue were finely tuned ( matched)for optimum performance for the nicad batteries that were used and the green were finely tuned for the green lithium batteries. Even the sourcees of nickel cadmium and lithium has always been from the same geographic mining sources ..No overheat problems of the tools and plenty of longevity in the quality of the tool is the result.
For the longest time , about 20 years, I couldn’t purchase a ryobi one battery without a failed indicator light that shows the charge level of the battery. All the batteries that I purchased during that time would have an indicator light failure within the first couple days after purchase. It seems that ryobi manufactured more than a million defective batteries that could not be recalled because of the cost factor. Many times I needed the battery to do a job and the battery was dead because it wasn’t charged. Ryobi should have recalled and repaired them anyway instead of giving us a mediocre discount without telling us.
MM77 Approved 👍🏻👍🏻……………LOL! I still have a bunch of the “ Blue “ Ryobi tools. In my opinion, run much better now that I run them on the lithium batteries. As the old tools die, I replace them with the newer versions. I used to buy Black and Decker tools, but they kept changing the battery voltages and styles of batteries making some of my tools useless. When Ryobi came out and said they would never change the battery style, I switched and have never looked back! One of the best decisions I have ever made, no more useless tools!
PSI can be controlled by changing tips or the orifice. What’s more important in a pressure washer is GPM. For sidewalks and siding you may want something that is at least 2 GPM.
I have the brushless model just before this one. I love it, but have always hated the fact that the speed dial sometimes gets moved when you need to rotate the tool and your hands hit it. The one thing I’m waiting for them to come out with is a variable speed oribital sander.

HOLY COW THIS IS AWESOME!! So I bought a 2500 psi pressure washer 4/11 but didn't use it until 6/26 bc I didn't feel confident but had to try it out before the return date passed.. I'm a 76 year old woman who lives alone without help so if I want something done, I watch RU-vid videos and do it myself! Watched a few videos like this one and finally used it today to do my 50 foot concrete driveway that was so gray and black. Bought my house in 2015...had never been power washed. The surface cleaner came with the Ryobi. I had SO MUCH FUN cleaning the driveway...and it was SO FAST!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!! The house is next. I have a Ryobi lawn mower I bought in 2015 for my new house. I squirt/clean it off with my water hose underneath after every use. I have never ever had an issue. Love my leaf blower, too!!!
I love that Ryobi hasn't changed their battery design in all of these years. You could have done the same thing that all of the other manufacturers did but having it like this has meant I am still able to use my old tools with even the latest batteries! Please do your best to not change this! I go into detail in one of my videos as to why I opted to move to Ryobi and I keep on buying from you all because of the batteries! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1XmKtzhQ5pw.html
Even the ancient NiCd Ryobi tools will take the new LiIon batteries. Unlike certain 'premium' brands which chage their battery connection format every few years and then stop making batteries for their old tool available.
@@brucelee3388 I completely agree and I have some buddies who still have the old NiCd tools and batteries and still use them. They love being able to go get these new batts and make them work in those old tools and vice-versa. Truly a future-proofing platform design!
the biggest selling point for me is the amount of tools for the 18v. Being able to use the same battery for the vacuuming, weed eater, drill, radio, speaker, etc. I never have to worry about making sure different batteries are charged, because I know I have 18v batteries ready to go.
Yall keep coming out with the best stuff! Although it would be greatly appreciated if you add the magnetic parts tray and bit holder and rear level back to the drill, like on the older models
That thing is a beast! I upgraded my brushed 18g brad nailer to the Brushless HP 18g brad nailer last year. It has some much more power, I just wish it had the dual led lights on each side like the older brushed model.
This isn't ryobi days it's ryobi disappointment. They ripped us off a black 4ah battery and a hp 6ah battery. The tool selection isn't that great besides being low. The worst thing they could've done is ripped us off two batteries. Black friday deals last year were the deals of the century. No Matter which kit you bought you had access to the hp tools. That was the first time I've seen ryobi give acces to hp tools even if you buy the black 4ah batteries plus get two free tools with buying the drill and impact kit. All together you got a 600$ value for 200$. Looking at that I couldn't wait for ryobi days but now I see a big let down this year. I'll never let my guard down again. I love ryobi tools I've spent thousands of dollars on them so why the big let down
