I so badly want to want to make a game that uses this god’s blessings concept! I’ve been in college for game development and design and I’m currently learning how to use unreal engine so I’m really interested in starting a long term project. This concept would fit so perfectly into the rouge like I’ve been drawing up recently. I wanna make risk of rain/noita inspired 2d rouge like with a very bleak and dark setting. Characters that use magic based abilities like pyromancey and blood magic, curses and blessings as global buffs and debuffs and smaller individual item pickups that augment the character’s abilities. This god concept is just so cool and thought provoking despite its simplicity.
like many other games, the default is widely considered the best. The End is one of the most popular blessings in the game, and it's no wonder why. The extra attack and speed bonuses you get allow you to get rid of enemies so quickly that you don't even need the extra gold or experience drops. The loss of hp and defense only encourages the already present base gameplay loop of never letting yourself get hit, with the obvious exception of wanderer.

Go alone: You will have 3 choice to get starter weapon buffs and traits that will give you special ability. Starter weapons: Crafted sword - ATK 16 to light enemies and 10 to heavy. Ability: Boost of blood. More kills with sword - more damage to mobs. Cap: 200% Crafted bow: ATK 20 to every type. Ability: Reload boost. You reloading x5 faster. Magical Sphere: ATK 10 to all enemies. Ability: Shadow. Summons shadow, that can get control under 1 enemy on screen. Buffs: Speedy: Gives 10% speed and chance to dodge an attack. Berserk: Gives x2 damage for decreasing attack speed in same multiplier. Secret Power: Can read tablets with Emparium hieroglyphics to open weaponry of dungeon in end of every location. Traits: God's hand: Gives ability to summon god's hand that gonna clear 1 random room on level. Devourer: Gives to absorp enemy to get buffs. Cap: 30% for every stat. The order: Gives access to something new... (In the end you gonna get ability to eat whole planet where dungeon is located. (That's idea from Russian series named sonic the hedhug.))
HOLY SPIRIT An 'exiled' deity, or so it would seem "I am your refuge and your strength. In Me you can trust." Pros: - Prayer - Start off with a 1% random chance of gaining ' Blessings.' This would increase by each prayer, and reset on each level. - Blessings - What you need, not what you want. It will give you enough strength to defeat all necessary foes, or heal when nearing death. It will never be completely overpowered, only strong enough to complete the mission. Cons: - All stats are downgraded - Harming allies and neutral entities would immediately kill you
Is the Pale King or Giratina an option? Because I don’t trust most of these creepy weirdos. Heck, I’m not exactly opposed to The Shade Lord, and if this is the afterlife, I’d maybe consider the Radiance, but I already have a cyst, I don’t need an explosive one.
