Yeah it would be pretty normal for parents and children to bathe together especially during the vague period in time this movie takes place. Japanese people don't really have all the hangups about nudity your average American does and to the extent that they do, they mostly learned it from us. Japanese people love to take baths and bathing can be sort of a social event. There are public baths everywhere. Most of the public ones are sex segregated, but at home families do bathe together. You can google something like "Japanese bathing culture" if you're curious about it. This movie is partially autobiographical. The founder of Studio Ghibli, Hayao Miyazaki's mother suffered from spinal tuberculosis and for about a decade spent most of her life inside of a hospital. If I remember correctly he changed the two child protagonists to girls, because if it was boys it would feel too personal to him.
i know a little about like Japanese public bath houses but didnt know that families bath together, thank you for that info. I also didn't know that about his mother & now it makes the movie even more sad 😢
would you rather, you vampire bf drop you like an egg (tho youre a vamp) or he dial your other ex in front of you, both are horrifying in different ways
👏Claps👏. This episode did no wrong to viewers. But every kinda wrong to the characters. So much I want to sink in the narrative. Tell them where all the types of wrong at.
when u started singing "me, myself and I" i started cackling, but yeah louis was bored as hell with armand he was craving that roller coaster Lestat had him riding on, a mess, but i love louis's character dearly because he's so human even though he's a vampire
I had to immediately pause the moment I heard the song playing in your intro (and outro). It just clicked something in my brain and made me really emotional. This movie was one of my first Studio Ghibli movies. I can't remember if I watched it or Princess Mononoke first, but I hope you enjoy that one as well. It's more action packed than this one, but I really do like that some Studio Ghibli movies are just like this, where it's really down to Earth with fantasy elements and a nice movie to unwind to and just enjoy (until you get to the heart-wrenching parts, that is). I was so afraid those rotten boards would fall on them too when I first watched. And while not even watching the full thing, the scene with Mei an Satsuki getting upset over their mother not being able to come home as soon as they thought still makes me cry. :')
I'm glad you enjoyed the reaction. This would be my third Studio Ghibili film, I've seen Ponyo & Kiki' Delivery; plan on watching Howls Moving Castle & Princess Mononoke next
It should be stated that this movie DOESN’T take place in the same universe as the game’s which is why characters like Vanessa and Mike have completely different roles and why a lot of events that happen in this movie don’t happen in the games also the “Freddy” that broke into Mike’s house to take Abby wasn’t Freddy that was Golden Freddy who is also the identity of the fifth child
@@Sapphire_Reacts You’re welcome also it’s been confirmed that a second movie is coming next year during December and it will be based on the second game just like how this first movie was based on the first game
Claudia is her mothers daughter. She has the viciousness and theatrics from Lestat. She needs to watch her back with this coven. Love the reaction and review!
I love Daniel, but sometimes he really needs to read the room. That smart mouth won't save you, lol. Armand is so damn sexy. I blush every time he's on my screen. Him and Louis look good together 🫣
What if, instead of spying from the hotel fire escape, Louis and Claudia had just waited for Lestat to leave, then gone in and killed Antoinette? She's already dead to the world, since they successfully faked her death (I wonder who burned up in the house "Sugar Daddy" Lestat certainly bought her?--Probably just a random kill). He's been banging this lady more than 20 years. If they killed her, what could Lestat accuse them of? Destroying somebody he said he destroyed? Enjoying this journey with you, Sapphire, but next time you snack, bring enough for the rest of us haha!
Girl if you liked the first book back than I HIGHLY recommend reading the whole series.. or at least several first books. Anne Rice actually has 15 books in her Vampire series... the first book was just tip of the iceberg! :)
The other reactors did not have to do all that shit months ago. Sorry but I won't be subscribing. One channel even had most of the screen showing the show clearly and himself very small.
Thats understandable, but I do get flagged for copyright for the scenes and music. So to prevent this from happening this is how I have to edit my videos. I'm sorry you did not enjoy the video but some channels will get hit while others will not.
I've seen just about every reactor to this show. Fascinating, all the different perspectives & figuring out out what each reviewer emphasizes and what they dismiss for a peek into their own psyches. We don't need to 'see' the show. We know it by heart! What's fascinating is Sapphire's insight into each character, and the way she judges them all with compassion as well as dead-eye assessments of each one's sins. In short, I like her style and am subscribing right now.
Angel Dust is one of my favorite characters, and I didnt really expect him to be. If you haven't watched Helluva Boss from the same creators it's good too!
I really wish we got more of Zestial singing instead of just the teaser opening in Carmilla & Vaggie's duet. Get your tissues ready for Episode 4. It has two of the best songs in the show but it will make you cry. Trigger warning: depicts SA & physical abuse
there's no way we'd get an introduction to a character we've already been told is the strongest overlord in hell (the pride ring at least - I forget, to the other rings we see in Helluva Boss have overlords?) and then leave it at that. I don't doubt we'll see more of him in season 2. He's a spider - he's all about waiting till the right moment.
