Pretty nice cover, I also made a retribution of this song, but I did not use a backing track on mine and played it in a different key! I Made my own bassline, arranged some simple drums and played the rhythm, then recorded me playing the lead. I think your version is more accurate to Joe, not exact same but very close! Great job! My version I called surfing with the Stratocaster and I played it at a slower BPM. I liked your cover, you have great skills my friend. No comments in 7 years? Holy shit! Well let me be the first to congratulate you Fred for getting out there and getting Joes music heard. Enjoyed the set bro, never stop what you love ❤️ I subscribed. 😎🎸
In the market for this guitar, saving up a bit, absolutely great playing and demonstration. Watched the other ones too, if you somehow spot this post on an old video, can you give an update/some more tones, on how the guitar has been treating you?
it is indeed a guitar which sounds particularly good and which also has the fabulous sustainiac I don’t really noticed a discomfort when turn the knob on
Hey, How are you doing? Can you give a suggestion? I want to buy this guitar but it’s not available to play in my country. I own a music man majesty but I am still looking for more bluesy tone and rock tone. What do you think? Should I go for this guitar. Is it too different from majesty in your opinion? If it’s a similar thing then I might regret after buythat
Hi, If you re looking for a bluesy sound this guitar have a really wonderful bridge pickup with sustainiac off. Very volatile différents sounds with this one I love it, like many others js … The difference with the musicman will be the neck, You should try before Many guitarists have their own preferences for the type of neck. Friendly
@@fredribes I am also buying it for sustaniac. I am most excited about this pick up. I have never played it so i m just worried about a big budget that i m spending without playing
Looks like you were able to wrap your head on the timing of the chorus melody, great job. Is he simply playing a little behind the beat? I'm amazed at how it's "not in time" but in a good way.
Joe Satriani is playing the melody on guitar, so he acts as the singer. Like he recently said in an interview, this forces him to lay back on the beat, to let the melody carry itself. This is a typical JS thing, and Fred nails also this part of every composition he covers. So its not really behind the beat, but he plays "in the trunk", which is part of these songs. Well done Fred, congrats!
