Was there in 1965 and 1966 to see if religious life was for me on Vocations Week. I ended up at Divine Heart Seminary in Donaldson, Indiana, with the Priests of the Sacred Heart (1967-71). I REALLY need help from God with these sins. It seems so easy to sin that I'd need to lock myself in a closet to avoid them, and somehow I'd still find a way to do it. 😣😞 It's really hard being human! God, PLEASE help me with Your Grace to sin no more. In Jesus Christ's Holy Name. Amen. 🙏
I was there in 1963-64. Also a couple of summers before that. I see they added many things after I left such as stable, pool, ham radio. Underclassmen slept in one large room (gym size) with metal lockers and in the morning they opened the doors facing the Maumee river and let in the cold air to wake us up. I pitied the guys who had beds next to those doors. I remember a boy who was a year ahead of me who had an accident in the science lab and lost part of his hand. Strange what things we remember. Education was top notch. when I returned to my home town school I was so far ahead of them I didn't crack a book for 6 months
