Asia Freedom Institute (AFI) promotes democracy and religious freedom in Tibet and China. It works towards strengthening the community of people and organizations working on human rights and democracy issues related to China, and educating the public on democracy, human rights and religious freedom.

China has no credibility in proving their hold on Tibet be it ancient history or contemporary history. Thats why they make other countries to say or believe Tibet is part of China when they enter into any agreements with other nations, be it economic or regional cooperations. Thus China has no other historical record to prove that and they complicate Tibet and China historical relations. Fortunately today there are historical records coming out.
Overall, normal Chinese people pay much less attention to India than the other way around. China’s main focus is always the U.S., then Russia, Japan, Taiwan… India is usually not a typical topic in Chinese people’s daily talk.
The West including America, do not want foreign languages to be promoted except English, French, German or any European languages . They only promote one language as their national language. These are the case of European language including English.

These areas must fight.
Any country needs a common language and education policy. Name me one country that has no single national language. In USA it is called the melting pot. There are no official schools in other languages and no bilingual schools. So are Western countries like Germany, France, England etc. Minorities are free to learn their own chosen languages privately.

I am sure, the probable reason for the rejection to your relatives might have been that they had Nepalese citizenship, NOT because of their being mixed parentages. I was one of the 41 Tibetan teenagers who was sent by the Tibetan exile Govt. to Denmark in early 1960s and 13 of us were (Khacharas) whose parentages were Tibetan and Nepalese. I know many of them are still in your Khachara Kyidug in Nepal.
it is always, and from the very begining of the lamas history, all of them, dalai or panchen, needed the central government of China's approval to be legitimised, nothing wrong with the curent panchen, said for this young man though, he came up by the wrong person in a wrong time politically
