❤ Humility. Never saw himself as one of the great All Blacks ... His style of kicking at goals is unique and keeps that smile before taking the kick. Great Goal kicker, n an awesome man in n out of the pitch.
I get it Totally, I am second Generation Canadian and I've got a few Friends"That are of First People" ( Indians come from India) Think of the People who were here first. To have or ( Be Allowed) regain Their Pride of Being! More Power to you Always
Lmao @ 1:00 worst moment...try doing that for a living, commercial fishermen working hard 16-20 hours per day and then waking up EVERY DAY after 3 hrs sleep to get straight back kn deck and have to step into wet leggings and gumboots and in the knowledge it will be ok in 10-15 mins work it will be a wet warm feeling that will persist for the next 16-20 hours lols, that worst moment for you is a daily occurrence for the commercial fleet of fishermen in NZ.
I think the real concern is the locks selection. Scott, Tupou & Josh havent got near to Brodie's level, let alone to reach it. We have solid starting & bench props & hookers. Ardie is the best player, no doubt to start. Just mix & match ethan, dalton & sam based on tactics.
"The game can be played in many different ways" Sage advice that the RFU should listen to. This was an amazing game, stop changing the laws each season.
He's probably not even the best Scrum-Half ever (I'd rate Gareth Edwards and Joost van der Westhuizen ahead of him), but it's impossible to name the best rugby player ever, because the skill sets are so different. Until you have a player who can scrummage like Hayman, get turnovers like McCaw, kick goals like Wilkinson, run like Lomu, tackle like JPR, etc etc, nobody can claim to be the best player ever.
Dear RugbyPass, please bring this podcast back. The global interest in the Top 14 has never been stronger and there's a massive appetite for more English-speaking coverage of it.
I grew up in the 80's and 90's... learning about others cultures and being a part of that culture was considered one of the highest respects. Today, politicians love to use things like culture and tradition to divide us saying "its theirs not ours" but in reality its respect. Politicians are trash... we the people are forever.
Is it possible to have a match of two sides, Possibles vs Probables to get the best positional match ups of the best NZ performing rugby players, then pick select the ABs.
Leinster fan here - still think super rugby is a ways better than any European competition - faster, more fluid, more exciting broken play. Let’s say Leinster on a good day is the closest up north - take out the southern hemisphere backs and it’s a fair bit of a weaker team. Would be fascinating to see the best of the north v the best of the south … it would be close, but super rugby lot more fun to watch
The try was well forward and Lion defence was in place to counter, so no need to dwell on. Brutal game. Good to see Loz articulating the finer detail !
To choose All Black's you need two things. The best player in the position...forget about cover, but if they can bonus. And second, the player must be in form. They must be playing well.
Good point, but not entirely true. For me, stevenson is the best fullback in SR ahead of jordan but aint no way hes better than jordan in all blacks. Same goes to Mounga & Barrett, ALB & Tupaea.
I agree with JK, Razor needs to look to the future now. It's better to go in to a World Cup with players who have more caps under their belts rather than rookies. So pick your debutants now and mould them in to world class players by the next RWC.
As a Leinster fan our way of playing has always been more like a Super Rugby / New Zealand side, that's our tradition. While it's great having Nienaber as part of the coaching leadership, we don't produce Springbok-size players in our forwards to play to that style. Interesting to see how he blends his defence with our natural attacking game.
Toulouse & Leinster would definitely dominate. La Rochelle, Munster, Northampton, Harlequins, Saracens, Glasgow, Ulster, Bordeaux would do well. Benetton, Leicester, Bath, Edinburgh, Toulon would be competitive but the New Zealand teams would be too much for them. The South African teams only had one team into the last 8 of the champions cup, the Bulls, and they got hammered by 30+ points in the quarter finals. They were also in Super rugby for 20+ years and only won one or two trophies and that was over 16 years ago. Their results in both competitions including the URC hasn’t exactly been good but their success has rather been non existent in fact so it’s difficult to judge how they would do.
