Hi, yes. But not necessity.

In 4 years time as it was during COVID with no exam centres/dates open for ages. Generally can be done within 2 to 3 years if both exams cleared in 1st attempt!

English exam is only required for AHPRA registration and not for AMC exam. Generally it is ideal to take the English exam after AMC 1 as you will now be eligible to apply for the jobs. Having a valid English exam (PTE/OET/IELTS) makes you a more desirable candidate. Hope this helps. W

@@premsai9784 first job depends on many factors: years of clinical experience, emergency experience, cv cover letter, interview skill, chances increase after amc 2. There are people getting jobs after just 1 year intern experience. And there are people not getting jobs with many years of clinical experience and just amc 1.

@@farzanehm4070 Hi, No, it won’t count as a GP experience. I guess working as a family medicine doctor after getting degree will be considered as GP experience. Many who wish to work as a GP here formally go via Australian training program for GP. To work directly as a GP, you need to take PESCI pathway. However, it’s always good to have hospital experience here to learn the system prior to working as a GP.

Hi Neetu, my suggestion would be not to prepare for the exams right now as it is too early . Your focus should be on enjoying the journey of your medschool and embrace every new challenge. Hi Amit, Hope you are doing good. There is a different concept of PG here as compared to India or other home countries. Here ,it is called training programs. So after AMC exams, you will work as an RMO for 1-2 years, then take the exam for the training pathway and get enrolled into a training program.
