My name is MoNique, but everyone who loves me the most calls me MoMo. I am 26 years old and I teach KINDERGARTEN!!!! This is my 4th year of teaching and I think I finally got the swing of things, maybe, well I don't know, but I'm still swimming ;)
On my channel you will find quick tips that are hopefully useful to you in your classroom, videos of me teaching and other tidbits / Vlogs of my life.
Thanks for stepping into my world! You can also follow me on social media @itsmoniquesworld
I post videos once a week so if you would like to keep watching subscribe and leave comments if you have any questions or suggestions for other videos!!
Hi Monique. Thanks for all the practical stuff in your video. I think next year will be easier to do the room talk on the first day because I will have a better idea of what happens in the room. I also like the Kissing hand. I didn't realize how brave they are being and this book really addresses that social skill that they are not telling anyone about and keeping it all inside. That was really a plus for me. I see that you have rules for how to go to the standing table and you have them posted on your wall next to your schedule could I get those? I would like to see how you have worded them so that I can create the same for each part of the room that they have to use. Also, how do you get away with the playdoh not landing on the floor? If I don't have any manipulatives excepts blocks and shapes what should I buy first to have some good centers to practice centers with.
I have questions! 1. When do you teach the actual concept as a whole class? 2. Where do the group rotations session fit in into the school day - what do you do/what lessons do you do before the session and after the session or do you do this the whole day?? 3. How long is the groups session in the day?
I’ve just gotten my first job as a kindergarten teacher, so naturally I’m nervous, but your videos have made me feel so much more confident. Thank you!!
I really love this. Unfortunately in my district, so much time must be spent on a math and LA program on the IPad that there isn't time for anything like this.
First of all thank you for sharing! You’re centers seems amazing. Question: how long do you have the kids at each center? Request: Could you right in the description the types of centers?
Introduction to centers for teachers developing skills and new practices. New ideas for kindergarten centers; reflection practice for performance. Thank you
Hi very informative but you are shouting and it's very difficult to keep up. Its like my ears are racing with your voice. Suggestions, since you have so many corners to discuss, why not. extend your days or time to showcase your creativity. And please tone your voice and speak in a more timely manner.
I have a question about the return of work finished and the catch up folder. #1 Do they walk to the finished work bin and highlight their name after you ring the first bell then return to their center table before you ring the second bell to rotate? #2 What if yo have two centers with turn in work? Does it get chaotic at the turn in table? #3How do you make a child accountable if they put their work in the finished bin and they didn't finish it?
I have been teaching over 20 years. This is going to be my 2nd year teaching Kindergarten by myself. Your videos have been just what I need, reinforcing what I know while giving a lot more detailed information. Thank you😊
Thank you for this informative video and helpful links...I'm a Filipino and I am dreaming of teaching in US someday, so this video is practically a big help for me to have a little idea of how to teach in US...Thank you so much🥰🥰👍
Í love your videos, very helpful, you’re very funny 😂 and I have a question, how can I get a magnetic card with all my info.? I love the idea to use it this year with my kinders ❣️
