People have asked about the sheet music. Here is something that sounds close, but the some of the piano parts were unique in this video, including the intro and outro, created by my son who is playing the piano (sorry, we don't have sheet music for those specific parts). There are a few other small instrumental parts that are unique to this group. Otherwise, here is a link to sheet music of an arrangement that sounds very similar: www.sierramusicstore.com/Everything_In_Its_Right_Place_p/smp-1090.htm
Ralph, it's been several years, but I found this video while researching for a book I'm writing about the Composers' Guild program. Would you be willing for me to share this video in the book? With Christian's permission, of course. Thanks for considering!
Everyone in this Iowa All-State jazz band has gone many separate ways in their lives, but for one year they made magical music in high school. I and many other people will forever always be proud of their accomplishments. Hopefully, @radiohead agrees.
That 4 note motif..... C - Ab - G - C .....is just SO achingly poignantly heartbreaking to me. Four notes..... Then the 3 note thing....on the word "everything" comes in with that quick F - C - F idea. It's all so simple....but communicates so much, especially over _those_ chords underneath. Such a crushingly beautiful song to me..
