My little brother is called Josh. He's so young and he barely survived and I would listen to this song before and think, wow that's sad. but now I listen and I think wow that could have been my Josh, I could've been saying those words to the sky. and I'm even sadder. damn
Simon, Try these alternative methods of record cleaning.... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kfxNWFWV1Qc.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iGq2NHilCI0.html I wouldn't use your best albums to try it out on.
this song always makes me think of my father who struggled with drugs and alcohol, it forced him to give me And my sister up but as he was trying to get clean he had a stroke and died, but his funeral was filled with people who loved him, and he was better then his end.
Thanks Simon, and thanks to the crowd at Colston Hall for being respectfully quiet during this beautiful and touching song. I'm from the DC area and have spent many nights at the 9:30 Club over the years. Josh was always there keeping things under control.
+Chris McCarrick my pleasure and thanks for the comment. It's a beautiful song with such an important meaning and I too was pleased that all the crowd respected that.
I remember this so well. About fifth row from the back, maybe, and I distinctly remember Eddie doing that sort of bow while hanging from the mic and just thinking, 'this is it - my first Pearl Jam gig starts here', and I knew it was going to be a hard one to begin. Just had to be 'Go', didn't it. It was absolutely riotous where I was. Brilliant stuff. Cannot wait for this summer for five gigs in Europe.
