“Often times I feel so inadequate Who am I to you but family? Oh help me see...” You’ve characterized Rainbow Dash way better than the later seasons of the actual show.
Your voice is the resurrection of peace- you have such a talent to teleport your audience into the emotion as if it were a setting... like your music is a blend of all senses: Touch, taste, smell, sight, and well... hearing!
I have found myself coming back to this song a lot. The powerful instrumental continues to amaze me, and I like to imagine ponies in the scenarios of the lyrics. The rich imagery of Applejack and Rainbow Dash in the music video, when I think deeply about the lyrics, adds to my captivation. At first, I questioned if the scenarios actually fit AJ, but I realized that she’s always been a pony to question where she belongs- for example, as a filly, when she lived in Manehatten, and as her alter ego Apple Chord. It’s sweet to picture her seeing Rainbow as an angel to who always caught her. It makes sense; the phenomenon Rainbow caused with a Sonic Rainboom tied so much of her life together, and her cutie mark continued to remind her of home.
I listened to the Tarby version of this song when it first came out, and only really listened to it for about a year or two. I'd completely forgotten about it until now, but hearing those words it was like I hadn't forgotten them at all. What a beautiful composition that takes the mind right back in time to earlier days. It was like meeting an old friend again after a decade.
i still love hearing the piano & the smooth drum beats here with the parts leading up, even though the remix one is nice, this one i like more, i still feel the heart that made a wonder in the song, truelly heartfelt upon times
