My math tutorials don't follow the traditional sit and get way of learning mathematics. Unlike traditional instructional methods that focus only on math content knowledge I use classroom management, response to intervention, project based learning, technology integration, and math content knowledge to help make math more accessible to all students.

I create a group for the students who didn't get it and move the students who got into another group. Data doesn't come from a certain source. I use a Mastery Check system for observations ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-q3V57vJN0OY.html

My daughter is on a tier 2 intervention because she does the things at home but is shy and refuses to show them at school that she knows these things 😢nothing works. She absolutely refuses to show them the things she has shown all of her family and us as her parents that she does know and they think at school she really doesn’t know these things..
For the equivalent fractions question, I taught them to first complete the number line. Then use process of elimination to eliminate A and C because they know neither have 6/8 as a choice. And we know R is on 6/8. So we used B and and D and drew fraction strips to compare. It made the question concrete .
I just went over this exact test with my 3rd graders today. We're in NY. For that first question, I taught them to use the inverse operation to solve for the unknown. We switched 8×___=72 to 72÷8=____. Then they used division drawing equal groups to solve.

I will be a new math intervention teacher for 3rd and 4th grade. My question is: How do I set up my intervention classroom? What kind of supplies will I need in my classroom?
I'm new to teaching in Texas and this clarified a lot of questions I had. Texas education is different than Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas and New Mexico. Thank you so much for the great explanation and help you have provided.
