Dang I completely missed the Space Wolf cosplay. I was there all 4 days walking around, I wonder if it was on Saturday when I was doing Horus Heresy and not in my Plague Marine costume?
@ChanhTang I did. It was crazy! Wasn't prepared at all and killed a lot of time transporting my minis terribly. Thankfully, my opponents were patient with me.
Oh! I was definitely looking at Blue Heron Workshop's "Mercer Style" screen as that would be easy to transport around. The second was Talon and Claw's "The Siege" screens as they looked like they could absolutely take a beating from going back and forth to different places. Plus they look imposing! :D Hope that helps!
Thank you man for the great photographs in your video, that was my Mechagodzilla layer I built and that whole side of the room, and I got you on the custom 50cm Jet Jaguar my friend
Awesome vid. Love the new set up. The image quality is amazing. And I dunno if u used a gimbal or anything but really smooth shots even when y'all were running across the street. Keep it up!!
Woo - thank you! No gimbal, that was just the lens stabilizing. Turning on the electronic stabilizer for the next few videos so it should only improve from there :D
How would you rate it compared to an affordable regular cardboard screen? Kinda feel like if modularity isn't needed than these mag hinges just cause problems
For myself, it helps me organize sheets of notes and post-its but we also switch games constantly. If you're organized and/or really only focus on a few games then I think a regular cardboard screen is more than enough and often look amazing. My old go-to was made by Infinite Black "Orb and Path" and I still love that thing. :D Hope that was helpful!
Highly recommend talon&claw great products and the added bonus on not coming from a company that exploits their employees in an unsafe workshop while covering up sexual assaults and firing women for wanting a safe work environment
Ah! Apologies I missed your comment. Like Walter's comment - I haven't heard anything before this but will certainly try to find out more! Appreciate you bringing awareness if that is the case.
@@walterhill6892 "covering up sexual assaults" is someone tweeted saying wyrmwood fired an accuser (not the supposed victim, which never worked at wyrmwood or ever came forward with an accusation or filed a police report). Wyrmwood fired both the accuser and the accused because they had just been spreading the shit through employees and drawing up sides of he said she said. (2 other employees went to management to let them know and they were not fired). No idea on the firing women for wanting a safe work environment. Probably some random tweet like the first. People take random tweets from Joe Blow as gospel and then make comments like these lol
I just looked up the dogmight ones and I'm glad I got the Wormwood one coming, because the dogmight ones are obscenely busy looking. These have a nice refined look I find whereas the dogmight ones look like the back of a junior high school kid's binder to me personally. Your screen looks great, excited for mine to get here, mine is behind because of the Dice and Storage towers being behind. Was debating a 4th panel, may still order another once I see the setup in action.
Ah yeah DogMight can get pretty intense in their designs haha. Thanks for digging my screen! I know a few people who prefer 3 panels so you may not need that 4th but that's awesome you got the Dice and Storage towers, very exciting! You'll have to let me know what you think :D
I was in the January fulfillment group as well, but didn't get my screen until 2/9, though I believe that was because of the bag I ordered, and they gave me the the standard $25 gift card. I had two issues with mine: I ordered three solid panels- confirmed that with backers kit- and for some reason they sent me three of the display ones. Wasn't sure why, but that isn't a big deal. My other concern was the turn trackers were covered in a very difficult to remove film. Overall, 9/10.
Wyrmwood did mention in a Kickstarter update that some of the fulfillment orders were based on what materials were available. So you wouldn't be wrong as some would likely take longer than others.
Thanks for the review. The tone of this video made me feel like there was going to be some big disappointment with it but it sounds like it works pretty well. How is swapping / adding materials through a session using the magnets and acrylic screens? Or do you recommend having everything you need on the screens because they can fall over?
Ah, thanks for watching :D For the acrylic screens, I'd say that doesn't flow super well during the session (though it may be me being picking about it lining up correctly under the screen.) But if you have the mag-panels and use magnets, works great. Hope that helps!
I’ve just gotten into wargaming and videos like this allow me to understand the real scope and feel of events like this that i can’t currently attend. So thanks king.
Woo - Glad you enjoyed the video and I appreciate the comment! Hope you continue to have fun with the hobby, I made many lifelong friends thanks to wargaming :D
