Hey everyone thanks for tuning in! My videos consist of fly fishing, spin fishing, lobstering, and spearfishing! I've grown up fishing salt and freshwater and I know how to, or learn how to, catch fish anywhere. Feel free to comment and ask questions and I will do my best to help you catch fish too! Tight Lines!

I know it's only a nurse shark but dang it it still has the name shark in it for a reason haha. Definitely glad it wasn't another species for both of our sakes. Had an 8-9ft one come around another time I went and I didn't even shoot a fish yet. He came up, I poked him away, then he circled back and swam under me and did a circle. Just an uneasy feeling

Did you ever figure out where those water temp sensor wires go? My sensor was leaking but had no wires when I got the motor. Ordered a new sensor with wires and haven't been able to figure out where they go either. Thanks!
@lastcastadventuresFL
@lastcastadventuresFL 3 месяца назад
Unfortunately no, I could never figure that out. I looked at diagrams, I talked to a couple mechanics, looked on forums, no seemed to really know. I honestly don't know if they actually go somewhere or are just meant to hang there. I know the guy who had it before me never worked on it, so it definitely ran without them being connected to my knowledge. Sorry wish I could be more help on that one!

Gona be doing some Oklahoma trout fishing on the Blue River first week of January. Should have some good video of that. If you ever want to do drift boat (raft) for trout or smallmouth in the Arkansas Ozarks or Illinois River Oklahoma...let me know. Have to be in the spring or summer, or you will freeze to death. Your stuff lets me get my saltwater fish fix on.

@lastcastadventuresFL
@lastcastadventuresFL 8 месяцев назад
Haha thank you!! Bucket list fish crossed off for sure! You can still find some fish wading, but I always prefer the kayak because it allows you to get further to more fish and away from where other people would be wading as well. As long as it's not windy it's the better option in my opinion
@karlpeter2285
@karlpeter2285 8 месяцев назад
I have always done my wade fishing from key largo to bahia Honda, maybe I should hit the lower keys. By the looks of it you are on the bay side, not ocean. We are here for the winter near port Charlotte. I will have to rent a place down there for a few days and bring my native watercraft peddle kayak along
@lastcastadventuresFL
@lastcastadventuresFL 8 месяцев назад
@@karlpeter2285 I've heard the bonefishing is pretty great in the upper keys too, you tend to see more tailing redfish. But the lower keys has a lot to offer as well! I think they work the same kind of areas all along the keys but I haven't fished much in the upper part so I can't say for certain. If you can get down there then I'd say go for it!

@thomasdrivas5317
@thomasdrivas5317 9 месяцев назад
Coming from a fisherman perspective if you are unsure you are better off cutting the line hooks are biodegradable and these sea birds do live around the salt water hooks should breakdown I speak from experience as I have had a live bait out and one of these birds has unfortunately swallowed it at the point of where the hooks were embedded, too deep that I couldn’t remove em so I just had to cut the line and turn the bird loose, hoping I had done enough .
@lastcastadventuresFL
@lastcastadventuresFL 9 месяцев назад
Oh ya I completely agree, sometimes it is better to do that. But with mine being on the outside I didn't want the line to get wrapped around a branch and kill him. Sometimes it works out, sometimes I just try to cut it as short as I can so there's less line to tangle up

You said not much skill, but being able to sit and wait patiently and not spook fish, then take the right shot takes great skill and instincts. I’m an old guy now, and never did much free diving spearfishing where I live on Northern Florida Panhandle, but have done a lot of spearing on scuba, and that’s my favorite technique, especially with mangrove snaps - lay on the bottom or the wreck (we don’t have reefs or mangroves) and wait for the mangos to stick their head out. They dart in and out and if your patient and can relax, you can get a few.
