It depends on the adhesive. Surface Bonder XI has a working time of around 12-15 minutes and is fully cured by 25-30 minutes. See more at www.integra-adhesives.com/products/surface-bonder-xi/
That video is definitely a demo for a very small workshop . Just by the during time of the video i have time to mount 2 porcelain sinks countertop on site and if u add 2 minutes they will be epoxied and ready for plumbing in 20 mins
An undermount sink application with adhesives takes 20-30 minuites. Templating and drilling for mechanical fasteners (such as SInk-It) really isn't that much faster. It comes down to preference. Drilling into stone, especially so close to an edge always carries a risk of fractures which an adhesive eliminates.
Do you guys sell t shirts or stickers I buy so much integra through Braxton brag for counter crew Orlando Florida Best stuff on planet !!!! Way better then DuPont brand corian glue
It’s fine if you want to take an extra long time to mount a sink in the shop, imagine loading the truck with all those posts poking out. Nope! There are so many techniques out there. Find the one that works the best in most scenarios.
It's actually quite fast. All the clips can be at holding strength in 20 minutes, then it's just a matter of lifting in the sink and silicone into place.
I guess your company doesn't make any kind of silicone sealant. I'm surprised (or not) to see that your demo doesn't show the operator making the installation "complete" by applying a coat of waterproofing sealant around the perimeter of the upper edge of the sink.....either before or after installing it. Wouldn't that be the smart/complete way to do it?
I am really surprised there is not sealant installed between the sink and counter surface, that gap, yes there is one, is going to grow mold and mildew over time. I know folks will think the counter and sink are perfectly flat, just did 176 units in a new condo building, over 400 sinks all under stone, none have a perfect mating surface. Soap and sink scum residue builds up under there. The epoxy materials used are what we use, excellent product, none of that glued on bolt fastener though.
@@als1023 We did apply a sealant, however at the time we were simply showcasing our product for the undermount fasteners, it wasn't intended to be a complete tutorial for sink installation.
Hi you can buy from Amazon. Here is the link: www.amazon.com/Solartime-Kitchen-Sinks-Clips-Undermount/dp/B01KYZI7CI/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1496823691&sr=8-9&keywords=sink+clips
no me comvence..yo mismo les mostrare en un video de la forma mas rapida y censillo sin tantos clamps y lo e hecho asta con laminacines de asta 15 pulgadas
I started using integra for joins. This video only shows how integra adhesive strong is. The question is...how would you know if both pieces are perfectly seamed with maskin tape on?
onthelevelbilliards Applying heat to the seam will weaken the joint. A torch could be used if you weren't concerned about potential damage to the surface. We recommend the use of a silicone band heater dialed above 200°F to weaken the joint. A hot air gun could also work for this application.
We normally use tenax glue and we do it face up so you can check the mitre joins. The one they used here could be better but more expensive I guess. Overall ..good job.
erjomeal27 my company did the same way and with tape and my company didnt want to purchase these till they came and did a demo so now thats the way we work with these clamps
